Members of the Syrian security forces are taking care of business and crushing those terrorists. Now maybe they can finally stabilize the situation and peace will return. /SARCASM

Al-Assad, seems to be all too quiet lately. I wonder whats going through his mind?

Deaths mount in Syria; Arab League mulls possible sanctions

At least 11 civilians, including three children, were killed Saturday by security forces across Syria, the Local Coordination Committees of Syria activist group said.

Seven of the deaths occurred in Homs, two in Deir Ezzor, and one each in the Damascus suburbs of Kanaker and Idlib, said the group, which organizes and documents anti-government protests.

The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that 22 army and security force members were buried Saturday.

"The martyrs were targeted by the armed terrorist groups while they were in the line of duty in the governorates of Damascus Countryside, Homs and Hama," it said. "Relatives of the martyrs expressed pride in their son's martyrdom who sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland, stressing that Syria will remain steadfast in the face of the conspiracy which targets its unity and stability."

My guess would be that Al Assad is thinking about how he can get out of this alive. It doesn't seem to have worked out very well for Mubarak, Gaddafi, Saddam or Usama. I'm betting that is taking more and more of his time these days. Going by recent history, the die is cast and he's a dead man walking.

He knows it...as the rest of the world is picking up on the writing on the wall... So how will he meet his fate? Will he stand like Mubarak or run like Gadaffi? Will he keep his dignity at the end like Saddam or be molested and abused in the street like Gaddafi met his fate?

Remember the old days when we couldn't sit here and accurately predict before shots were fired which World Leader was destined to be hunted down and killed next? Recall when such thoughts would have qualified any of us for some psych help relating to paranoia and delusions? lol.... How times have changed and in such a short time too.

I can appreciate your stance. Yet, Whenever these types of stories break you NEVER mention nor denounce the atrocities in said article but go off on a tangent about "Other" countries.

Do you defend the killing of women and children in Syria by Government forces?

It's a point blank question brother...

if they are supporters of muslim brotherhood and harboring extremists yes.And I don't care.As for Assad he has concentrated too much in hands of alawites.Change is needed.Sunnis need to be accomodated in the govt, corruption removed and possibly elections though it should be a slow process.

But muslim brotherhood should not be tolerated. They are only fit for extermination. And France and Turkey should keep their imperial ambitions at bay.Economic imperialism is fine.military imperialism not.Russia can do a lot of things ,It was built on military imperialism in soviet era.Now not.

It is muslim brotherhood from what I know.

Within Syria, the opposition is urging the West to impose a “no-fly zone” over the country. It knows fully well that a “no-fly zone” is a precursor to full-scale military intervention. Large shipments of weapons have been smuggled into Syria from Lebanon and Turkey. Israel-made hand grenades have been among the weapons seized by the security forces in recent months. In September, a senior officer from the Syrian Army, who had defected to the opposition, resurfaced in Damascus. The officer, Col. Hussein Harmoush, said on Syrian TV that he was “bribed” by the Muslim Brotherhood to defect to Turkey and concoct stories about a serious split emerging in the army. A “Free Syrian Army”, propped up by the West, has been issuing periodic statements from Turkey. Two months before he returned to Syria, Harmoush was claiming that he had defected after being told to shoot at unarmed civilians. Washington, meanwhile, continues to stoke the fire. The Obama administration said that the Ambassador's return would depend on the U.S.' “assessment of the Syrian regime-led incitement and the security situation on the ground”. The Syrian government was quick to react by recalling its own Ambassador from Washington for consultations. The U.S. had sent an Ambassador to Syria after a gap of six years with the stated aim of improving relations with the country and its people.

essentially muslim brotherhood. But Assad is weak leader , the GRU should remove him(coup e'tat) in my opinion and establish a permanent presence by the total russian controlled govt ,after stablization ,elections without the islamist components.

OK..

I know you have issues with the Muslim Brotherhood fair enough but...

If they are not related to or a part of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Do YOU USAisdevil defend the killing of women and children in Syria by Government forces?

if there family members are involved in the muslim brotherhood and giving logistical support then yes and are killing christians and alawities then yes. necessary collateral damage like the West says.

Standard Spetsnaz/GRU procedure to deal with terrorists is to lift close family members and send their bodyparts with further threats that more of their loved ones will be sent piece by piece. Works very well on terrorists and brings them to surrender.

That's always a possibility in these types of situations.

But what if it's not?
No innocent women and children deserve to be targeted by anyone that includes by US/NATO/Israel/Iran/Syria etc etc etc...

and yet there are gems from you like these:

Offer a Russian a bottle of Vodka and you have an easy date

indicates your mentality.I know what high school kids in america say and there attitudes and the attitude of your society in general.

US losses 54,000 + North Vietnamese losses 2.7 Million* + or - Yeah we won all Major Battles and still lost the war. The Russians were in Afghanistan for 7.5 years and lost 18,500+ The US has been in Afghanistan for 8.5 years and have lost 1,845 + or - Your point?

support of imperial power .

That will save millions in unpaid parking tickets for NY alone not to mention saving the US hundreds of billions in Foreign aid and the disproportionate propping up of the UN.

Not understanding the diabolical nature of your foreign aid.

Now, if you want to comment on how evil and genocidal monster I am ,you can thank your govt for that. There are many others like me in nations you have plundered, pillaged and destroyed in name of humanitarianism.
