I can only assume its how you "voice" your opinion. You still need to respect someone else's view on the subject regardless if they're out right wrong.

No need to shoot people down, just say " In my opinion i believe........" this way i find you dont come across as a debunker.

There are alot of people on ATS all with their own views and opinions, of course your going to clash. just dont take anything personally. thats how you debate, you challenge people. nothing should ever be taken to heart.

Yes i agree.
If that was all that was in your post, it does not make any sense you got it removed. But mayb iy was just a mistake? I have only ever got mine removed when i have gone of topic or got in to a argument with another poster.

They usually warn you first to get back on topic, unless it is sooo far off topic that they have no choice. I will stick with my first guess about why it got struck down. The mod couldn't follow that analogy.

You should be complaining to the mod via U2U, not starting a thread.

Nevertheless, your remark was on-topic in that you were giving an example of why something is unrelated to the find.

If you reason with a mod and present your argument, politely and tactfully, you will generally get a good response.

Unfortunately, it's not up to us to enforce the rules around here. Sometimes life isn't fair. If I were you, I'd forget about it. We're not always going to agree with mod action, but that's part of participating in a forum where someone else makes the rules.

I got smacked for saying, "do shut up" one time. Since then, I've seen people say, "sit down and shut up" "why don't you shut your mouth" many times and their posts go unchanged. Moderation isn't an exact science. These are fallible human beings behind the mod badges... Allow for imperfection.

Accept it and move on. That's my advice.

Yeah I have noticed huge contradiction in mod action. Surely they would have a program that picks out certain words?
