There used to be water on mars, so it's definitely possible that there was life at one point. There's also ice underneath the surface in some places, and it's even been photographed flowing. It's widely accepted that water used to flow on mars, and there are even signs that life was once and still is there: Water and Life on Mars.

If they don't find anything here, I vote for Europa next.

I agree,I'd bet that they have more proof than they are sharing with the public.

From the pictures being altered/airbrushed that I've seen,researching & the theories concerning Mars anomalies,There was or presently still are intelligent beings living on Mars,most likely below the surface imo.

What I find both interesting and exciting is the possibility that Mars is suitable for life today. Obviously not human life but microbes etc. I'm thinking there's a good chance Mars could be seeded with life. Of course it would have to be at a level the planet could sustain at first...baby steps.

Maybe not Human life per say...but there could be some species of humanoids that once inhabited the red planet...or could still be there for all we know.

I disagree entirely. A scientific exploration is not a secretive military operation. These people aren't sworn to secrecy, they're just a bunch of Astronomers and Physicists and scientists who are interested in this topic. Keeping a discovery of life from going public would be next to impossible, and doesn't really make sense.

I respect & understand you opinion but I have to Disagree.
As Zorgon has already adequately presented in his previous post,the D.O.D. & NASA are closely knit together and it doesn't take a "rocket scientist" to figure out who is really controlling things & running the show,when it comes right down to it.

I have no faith or trust in NASA or our government in regards to this subject, when it comes to revealing something of this magnitude to the public why would they tell the truth I'd be asking?

They keep secrets & tell lies on a continuous basis and the things I'd bet they have lied,mislead or covered up would be immensely tedious in comparison to finding life on Mars or anywhere else for that matter.

you could argue that in the last couple of years, we have been slowly but surely been spoon-fed & conditioned to accept & believe in the possibility of "Alien" life or you have to the contrary conspiracy theories saying that the true,sinister intent of all of this E.T. coverage etc. is to usher in a false flag event ( project blue beam )

Either way you cut it,imo,we will not get the complete truth,no matter what they find...If they actually announced something like that,I'd be sincerely be shocked...although don't get me wrong because I would happily welcome such an announcement in our lifetime!
I cannot wait til the day extraterrestrial life is irrefutably proven and revealed to the Human race.

ETA: I saw a really cool documentary about that sub 'Endurance' that will eventually launch and explore underneath the frozen surface of Europa,utterly fascinating I have to admit.
