France seeks Arab backing for Syria intervention

CAIRO/PARIS (Reuters) - France will seek Arab support on Thursday for a humanitarian corridor in Syria, the first time a major power has swung behind international intervention in the eight-month uprising against President Bashar al-Assad.

Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, who first floated the proposal for a humanitarian intervention on Wednesday, gave more details of the plan and said he would propose it to a meeting of Arab League foreign ministers gathering in Cairo to discuss Syria.

After a US carrier arrives, now the French want to establish a "humanitarian" corridor protected by "observers". This will be of course with the approval of the Arab League, but not Syria's.

Syria will treat this as an act of war, a foreign invasion and occupation of its soil, which will require a military response to the "observer" force.

Once Syria attacks the "observer" force... well you can imagine where this is going.

Russia can raze France to the ground in no time.That they should remember.

If USA wants to invest in oil reserves in Iran and Russia,it can ask Russia for help,we can jointly help.We will be willing to help.But this ,it will provoke all out war if these antics continue.Stop trying to steal from others..

Regime change in Syria has been in the works for a long time..say right after 9-11-2001. I wouldn't believe any other reason/excuse they give you for "attacking" another country. Not saying this is right or wrong just sayin i see through all the lies..This is just the best opportunity they will have, so they are taking it...Iran is next..... probably before this one is even over..just my opinion though.

glass house ? west is a glass house.I am hoping that the Novichok chemical missile brigades are brought into kaliningrad ,it would enable us to decimate NATO conventional operations and entry of Russian military into france in 108 hours.

As far as Syria goes, I am higly suspicious of France's motives in this. They've been having a real hard time selling their Dassault - Rafale fighter and will jump at any occasion to show what it's capable of.

In fact they haven't sold one abroad at all. It cost over 30 billion. And the project would have been scrapped alltogether if it wasn't for the taxpayer money keeping the plant open.

The russians are good at whinning a lot, but they still make billions each year from the weapons they sell to arab dictatorships, all at the guise of fighting imperialism. Like russia and china are not exploiting business opportunities themselves in the process.

If you think that DUMBs are for the majority in russia, like the usa, then you are more naive then I thought. Just because you hate america, because the bankers and wall street are headquartered there, for you it means you will go with anyone that pretends to share the same interests as you.
