No offense but this isn't a Republican vs Democrat issue. Both parties are heavily involved in global theft rackets.

You could have just linked the additional individuals without having to insult the OP and call them bias. They may have just thrown up the first 15 examples they found randomly.

Also I doubt the OP created that diagram, they probably found it and linked it to us because they thought it was cool.

I just don't see how party affiliation has anything to do with this since we know as a fact they are both the same party in the end.

This is the list the OP would obviously prefer you not know about, otherwise he would have included it on his little Venn diagram. Going through the list of Monsanto executives top to bottom, you'll see many more Republicans than Dems.

Oh the OP is such a mega-sinister deceptive trickster....

Back in reality, most of us realize had the OP not linked this information in the first place, you wouldn't have bothered to dig all of that up either.

Sure it's fine to point out all of the other connected individuals and call them out, and to criticize the diagram for being incomplete and highly limited in scope, etc.

But personal attacks and trying to drum up divisive Red vs Blue rhetoric is just uncalled for in my humble opinion.

I think think the point being made here is that there is a clear conflict of interest that can be demonstrated in government that needs to be addressed if corruption is to be curbed regardless of political party affiliations. I see examples from both parties in the OP diagram.

You made this a hackkneed partisan attack by showing only Dems. The bigger picture would have shown the full scope of involvement, which include more Republicans than Dems.

For the record this is not a novel idea, the reason so many of these watchdog groups keep track of boards and corporations is for these sort of ties. Govtrack does the same thing. Only they don't paint it as a strictly one-sided partisan issue as you have.

I realize that, which is why I wanted to display the other side of the same coin, that the OP curiously omitted.

It's extremely bizarre that they openly and casually say things like this, and most people don't question it.

My question is, "What do we do about it?" I am sharing your diagrams
They just make sense, but again, What do we do about it?
Thank You for stating the obvious so clearly.

Spread the info, educate until enough people are aware.
Explain the context to as many as possible... and what this means for the public interest in politics.
Then kick out all the corrupted politicians and ban conflicts of interest like this and corporate money in politics in general, to end this and make sure it can never happen again.

ETA:
You might find this thread interesting... goes in the right direction.

when i saw monsanto i just had to read this. here is a few more tid bits, for monsanto's govt ties.

there are a few names here everybody will recognize.

However F.D.A. approval came about, Monsanto has long been wired into Washington. Michael R. Taylor was a staff attorney and executive assistant to the F.D.A. commissioner before joining a law firm in Washington in 1981, where he worked to secure F.D.A. approval of Monsanto’s artificial growth hormone before returning to the F.D.A. as deputy commissioner in 1991. Dr. Michael A. Friedman, formerly the F.D.A.’s deputy commissioner for operations, joined Monsanto in 1999 as a senior vice president. Linda J. Fisher was an assistant administrator at the E.P.A. when she left the agency in 1993. She became a vice president of Monsanto, from 1995 to 2000, only to return to the E.P.A. as deputy administrator the next year. William D. Ruckelshaus, former E.P.A. administrator, and Mickey Kantor, former U.S. trade representative, each served on Monsanto’s board after leaving government. Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas was an attorney in Monsanto’s corporate-law department in the 1970s. He wrote the Supreme Court opinion in a crucial G.M.-seed patent-rights case in 2001 that benefited Monsanto and all G.M.-seed companies. Donald Rumsfeld never served on the board or held any office at Monsanto, but Monsanto must occupy a soft spot in the heart of the former defense secretary. Rumsfeld was chairman and C.E.O. of the pharmaceutical maker G. D. Searle & Co. when Monsanto acquired Searle in 1985, after Searle had experienced difficulty in finding a buyer. Rumsfeld’s stock and options in Searle were valued at $12 million at the time of the sale.

the two names that stick out the most are, Clarence thomas and Donald Rumsfeld.

the above qoute came from the may 2008 the vaintyfair article " Harvest Of Fear" which you can read here.

Harvest Of Fear

although it's from 2008,it;s says a lot about monsanto. i think it will show you how big business and govt work hand in hand and how big business has it's hand in every thing.

This is absolutely stunning, and not in a good way.

The same people who are A) Making a fortune off of putting farmers out of business, B) Most likely damaging our DNA with the GMO and C) Possibly killing off the plant life with their sterile pollen are in positions of power and legislation?

How is this not criminal?

Awesome.. keep them coming. There has to be more. Where is the big pharma company. This is probably the most effective way I have seen of letting people know what they need to know in as few words possible.

If it makes you feel any better, all my years on ATS have made me so jaded that I don't even look at the (D) or (R) next to a name. I just lump those SOB's into one squirming ball of corruption. I am sure many others here on ATS do the same, so Jason88's "Hackneed Partisan Attack" was most likely ineffective.

As for posters asking how do people not get up in arms over this blatant corruption? They don't want to know. I think that the majority know that the foundation of their way of life is crumbling, but bury their heads in the sand and willingly allow the distractions to keep it all out of focus, out of fear or comfort or sanity.

Take my dad. He's pushing 70. Only in the last 5 years or so has he even opened up to the idea that Washington is systematically corrupt. But even still, he thinks Ron Paul is the dumbest candidate on the stage, and that the economy is going to be fine. He just can't wrap his mind around the prospect that greedy corporations and banks are running the show in order to take every last dime from the population. The notion that the Military Industrial Complex regularly trades lives (American, Iraqi, Libyan...whoever) for profits he unconsciously changes the subject. You can literally hear the fear in his denials. It's sad, but endemic of Americans as a whole.

My husband is a young 67 however as wonderful and intelligent of a man he is - he won't or can't see how the "global system'' really now works.

The uprising in Egypt, Greece, even OWS is a start....................people are waking up, people are gaining the courage to fight for REAL CHANGE, not promises.

Freedom does not come free, often it must be brought about and maintained, unfortunately with bloodshed and tears.

Often to, people that have not been affected YET, still don't see the train is coming for them as well.

Most people want to do the right thing, most believe they are empathetic, however most smugly believe - the successful ones, they did it all on their own through hard work.

They don't realize that at any moment, their $50,000 a year job could be outsourced. They could learn that they have a medical issue that insurance wiggles out of the bulk of the bill and must take out a second mortgage, their car breaks totally down..............I'm not talking a $300,000 house or SUV that cost 40,000 either.

Corporations now run our government, they have bought out Washington DC by "contributions" (bribes).

We The People, if we want to really change this must stop all the corrupt pay offs.

Corporations don't pay their fair share in taxes.................the middle class in America (I cannot speak for any other country) is being driven to their knees.

And, unless the common man / woman, unite and actively rebel / protest / boycott - things will only get worse.

The goal of these Venn Diagrams, licensed freely and created by Stephanie Herman at Geke.us, is to create our own terrorism watch list. Corporate terror watch list.

My part, beyond calling attention to these Venn Diagrams, will be to cross compile these names to create a master list of the most corrupt, double-dealing corporatists in the US government. Before the election cycle next year I'd like to have that watch list on-hand to check-it against the candidates I vote for. As far as I can tell, maybe in 20 or 30 years, if we-the-people keep vigilant and update this master list, we can clear out this shadow government by electing good Americans who are reflective of the people.

General Electric is next, that post should be done soon. In the mean time, here are two examples of how business is really done in Washington DC.
