Idealistic youngsters with ethical values should opt for a banking career, says an Oxford University ethicist. Will Crouch argues that if ethical people went into finance - and then gave back a slice of their higher salaries - the impact would be greater than a career as a charity worker.
Soon after he arrived in London, George Peabody was surprised to be summoned to an audience with the gruff Baron Nathan Mayer Rothschild. Without mincing words, Rothschild revealed to Peabody, that much of the London aristocracy openly disliked Rothschild and refused his invitations. He proposed that Peabody, a man of modest means, be established as a lavish host whose entertainments would soon be the talk of London. Rothschild would, of course, pay all the bills. Peabody accepted the offer, and soon became known as the most popular host in London.
I see nothing wrong with how the Rothchilds or other banking families obtained their wealth be it through trickery or uncanny wisdom.

So they focus on the benevolence of the Rothschilds and ignore the more nefarious aspects that the family's influence has had.

THIS IS NOT PRO ROTSCHILD PROPAGANDA
It is interesting however the perfect timing for this to pop up and i bet it was in the works only since Occupy movements started popping up like wild mushrooms...
My opinion is that this is just a documentary to deny what all the protesters ... protest ... about and to show ordinary people how "good" the bankers were and still are.

Of course it'll be propaganda, it's the BBC. What else do you expect? They've got a show they're plugging at the moment, looks like an anti occupy type thing. They're going to show us where our money goes and how our goverment spends it. I wonder if they omit all of the embezzlement and out right theft of public funds.......I'm certainly not expecting anything to be revealed in the show. It'll be a nicely trotted out bit of pro goverment propaganda, becasue this is what the bbc do, it's what they are there for.
