GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul told college students Monday he understands where they are coming from and is "very much involved in the 99" percent, after about a dozen Occupy Wall Street protesters spoke out at the end of his question-and-answer session at an evening campaign stop.

Approximately 15 students in a crowd of several hundred in a Keene State College auditorium stood up and began yelling as Paul awaited his final question from supporters this evening.

Well, Dr. Paul once again hits a home run and handles this like a champ. But if I were Dr. Paul, I would have told them to throw away their signs, come down to my campaign office and put your free time into doing something that will create real change. I still feel 99% of OWS has no clue.

Does he have any Canadian relatives with a spine I'd love to throw a vote behind them up here, because dictator Harper is letting the power get the best of him I feel...

Obviously there are going to be people in the OWS movement more knowledgeable than the others, but that doesn't mean no one there has no clue. Do you really think it hasn't been said over and over again, on this website, in news articles all over the globe... It's really not a secret that we've all been had, for centuries, by the banks. They've corrupted politics, education, and essentially the direction of the human race. The question is why aren't we doing anything? If enough of us just stopped going to work and went to occupy a park, the government would have to listen... Say 50% of the population called it quits and went to the local Occupy movement. Besides the ridiculous increase in occupants, which would require multiple encampments in each city, the system would quickly begin to crumble... Suddenly there's 50% less people working, and consuming less in terms of buying. They would be forced to listen. If they rush in with the NWO, then we can't say we haven't seen it coming, but that's when it's really going to get ugly, and I personally would be willing to fight to the death if it came to that.

Sorry to rant, the video was pretty cool. I agree that Ron Paul played that quite well. Wish we had a candidate like that in Canada... How many times has that been said on here? But it's so true, enough of Harper

Wow, handled like a true pro. Only Ron Paul! Any other candidate would have been condemning, criticizing, and attacking those OWSers, which would have only made things worse. He let them finish, had some humor in it, and assured them that message isn't going on deaf ears.

I don't know what they thought they were going to accomplish by protesting at a Ron Paul speech though. It just makes them look stupid by attacking the one person who isn't calling them socialist, anti-capitalist, anarchy driven bongo drummers.

Don't be sorry. I'm sure most have a good understanding of the problem. But there's a man running for office who's been talking about these problems for years and he needs their support. These protests will not solve anything...imo.

As always, Ron handles it like a gentleman.

I believe some of these students are so excited about protesting that they failed to check their facts and don't even know what Ron is about.

Mainly that he's on THEIR side.

That made me laugh.

Dr. Paul quietly listened until they finished chanting, then asks "Do you feel better?". A true gentleman.

I don't think they had any idea who Ron Paul is or what he stands for. I hope this was an eye opener for them.

He's perhaps the greatest ally that they have, yet sadly some fail to realize this.

In any event, nothing but respect for the way he handled it. Hopefully he may have even made some understand that he is on the same side.

Paul is on the side of OWS in many ways.
Moreso than any other candidate out there.
As others have said. He handled it like a pro.
The only national politician that I respect...

There are a few local ones, very few. I fear they will be contaminated by the good ole boys network..It's the Nevada way...Unfortunately.

Where were the cops with their tazers? I thought that's is how people who speak up at town hall question and answer sessions are supposed to get treated.

Seriously though, Ron Paul always makes me so happy when I see how he deals with these various situations. A true statesman in my opinion.

Thank you for posting this video!
Ron Paul truly is a champ.
He never caters his views and opinions to appease his audience. He's not afraid to tell it like it is, speak the truth. You will never catch him slamming people or ideas unless it falls in life with his belief system. He is a man of integrity and I really really wish the occupiers would look into him, understand that just because he doesn't support doling out handouts doesn't mean he's not on their side. Most of all, he's a man of REASON. Not many in Washington can say that.

I wish the occupy movement would get behind Ron Paul. I understand it's supposed to be non-partisan, and focusing on the whole system rather than the left/right paradigm, but people really need to see that Ron Paul isn't just your typical crony politician. Don't get me wrong, most occupiers I talk to support Ron Paul, but the movement as a whole is hesitant to get behind any politicians.

This is disheartening. I have supported Ron Paul and the Occupy movement, whoever these occupiers are just made the rest of us look bad. I guess these people don't understand Ron Paul's message, because he is more anti-bank than any candidate.

Lets start an Occupy Ron Paul movement

You know, make a bunch of videos of Ron Paul doing/saying stuff that supports the general public (or the "99%"), calling for an end to crony capitalism, him talking about the bailouts, him explaining the nature of the Fed, etc etc etc. If we attach "Occupy" to it, these videos will surely become internet sensations and maybe some people will learn a thing or two about their true targets, and their true allies!
Seriously though. That's how ideas spread!!

Class act, he allowed them to speak and even had a response for them.
And for the big one,.... the OWS were not TAZED and arrested for "terrorism" or some other bogus carp.

If this would have happened anywhere else, we'd be hearing of it on the news at 10.

Where do you Think Most of these OWS People got the IDEA to Protest ? Was it something they might have heard on the News coming from say , I don't know , a Guy named Ron Paul as Far back as 2007 Preaching about a Corrupt Economic Playing Field on Wall Street ? .........Hmm.........

Well, it's already been sort-of said, but you know the OWS movement, at times, might need an alignment adjustment when they appear at a Ron Paul town hall gathering.

Preaching to the quire, I think they call it?
