Hello ATS!

I am here because of ouija boards. They led me to this site, and I mean it literally. Spelled it for me. I find them particularly fascinating, capable of connecting us with other realms of existence and changing the fabric of reality itself. Or, to be more precise, whichever forces are the power behind them. I understand how this is undoubtedly going to raise many eyebrows, but life is far more malleable than we seem to think. We mistake the boundaries of our perception for boundaries of reality; I experienced many things which shifted my inner tentative belief in the unexplained, or the paranormal if you prefer, towards KNOWING those phenomena occur very much all around us, regardless of where you are and what you do. Now, this does not mean one should be experiencing a blissful state of detachment from practical matters; on the contrary, maintaining a healthy dose of REAL skepticism is crucial. Compartmentalization is a useful mental tool as well; don't try to convert people, don't call them infidels, just let them be. It's definitely more pragmatic than trying to save the world and whatnot. So, no ''namastes'' and other navel-contemplation on mountain tops coming from me (no offense). After all is said and done, the bills are waiting to be paid, whether I like it or not.. you probably know the answer to that one

PS. I am very much interested in your ouija board experiences. I really do think ouija boards are like an all-encompassing paradigm containing a mosaic of experiences within themselves. Anyway, I am still a rookie when it comes to understanding this site's operational side, but am figuring it out. Help always appreciated.

Cheers!

Welcome, and as they say, "everything happens for a reason". Take for instance, I just happen to be on ATS at the moment your intro thread was posted. Thusly I am replying and though I do not have any Ouija Board examples to speak of, my experiments with the paranormal are not withholding.

At your leisure take a look at the experiment I conducted:

I Discernibly Hear Dead People!! **Recordings Added, Pg. 2**

You'll find many facinating threads on the paranormal here. I will not discount the possibility that you were steered here by a disembodied entity after all I have read up on. Quite probable in my opinion.

One question if I may, how did you determine the ATS that was spelled out for you was indicative to this website?

I will definitely look it up!

To answer your question, it was a matter of deduction.. other ''ATS's'' just did not make any sense at all when googling them. Perhaps it was a disembodied entity, perhaps my subconscious mind, who knows.

Nonetheless, it got you here, that in itself is a plus. A MOD will be along shortly and post some valuable links that should help you get to know the site better. I look forward to your posts. Have a good day!

The board is a tool. Some people have had bad experiences with it. Some have had excellent experience with it as a tool to speak to Spirit Guides (Guardian Angel). Some have had unwelcome spirits come through every now and then. They HAVE to leave when you tell them to. The key is not to let any FEAR rule you.
Some people think it is a "doorway" to evil, however whatever THEY believe is what it is to them. It's mostly religious people that get freaked out over it.

The Ouija Board is a super tool, although you can channel just as easily.

Likewise.. I will post one of my experiences in the ''Gray Area'' and will undoubtedly be mercilessly flamed, but I understand it all too well, so doesn't bother me.

With proper focus, the Ouija board is an interesting tool to tap into your own subconscious. And maybe even the collective unconscious.

Welcome aboard. A mod should be along shortly to offer a proper welcome.

Welcome friend, hope you have a good stay here on ATS. Keep an open mind at all times.

Oh and get ready for the religious enthusiasts who will flame you big time over using an Ouija Board.
They will arrive. Good luck.

To evil, perhaps not, and they're a tool, absolutely. There are people on two extremes, that's true, one group thinks it's just ''mumbo-jumbo'' and the second group thinks it's ''the Devil'', both approaches seem rather categorical in nature, but it makes people feel better about the world, so who's to say it's wrong. The problem starts when they tell others to stop ''dabbling in the occult'' and what have you.. sometimes they get REALLY zealous about this!

Who is Ouija Board? Male or female?
What a name, Ouija.
I kind of like it. "We juh". Not so fond of the last name. Is it Dutch?
Anyway, welcome. Read the "board" rules.

Your subconscious but there are documented cases of a phenomenon known in certain circles as ''transferrence''. Basically, it involves physical changes which go way beyond the supposed mental alterations.

Some people seem to display a more apparent/(latent?) talent than others.. it may be connected to the inner intent.

Hi ExploringInfinity! What an interesting way to find ATS. What question did you ask when that came through as the answer?
edit on 19/11/11 by RainbeauBleu because: corrected redundant reply

Oujda (Arabic: وجدة‎) is a city in eastern Morocco with an estimated population of 1 million. The city is located about 15 kilometers west of Algeria and about 60 kilometers south of the Mediterranean Sea.

Wikipedia

According to Chris Everrard from Enigma, that's where the board comes from.
I remember seeing it in the Spirit World documentaries.
