The bible is written by men to push their own agenda and control a portion of the population for monetary gain and all that comes with that. When social majority in western nations tell you that the bible is 100% true can you really blame people for actually following what it says? These people are a lot smarter then the average Christian because they break through social influence and actually accept a form of doctored reality.

Get off your soapbox, you speak without any authority, and yet have so much confidence in what you personally believe, with no evidence whatsoever? You were neither around when the faith started, nor do you know every Christian and what they actually believe. So did Jesus' decsiples die rich men? Did all the Christians in the first century which were either burned to death or fed to lions, do it because they were money hungry and in control of the government? The Roman Empire changed its name to the Holy Roman Empire. Same entity, different titles. They were the ones that killed Christians from the beginning, up until past the reformation. They ran the world with an iron fist all in the name of God. Get your facts straight.

Homosexuality has nothing to do with the creator whatsoever, what it has to do with is satan corrupting mankind and homosexuality is just one of those many corruptions.

I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince someone not to be gay, thats the Holy Spirit's job, all i am tasked with is spreading the message of Christ's love and forgiveness and what you do with that message is on you and wether or not you choose to be gay is your choice and effects no one else but you.

This video is not staged. If you don't think they would say that, maybe you should do some research of who Westboro Baptist Church are. They're all like this. It's sick. The same people who protest outside of veterans funerals.

You can spread your message of Christ's love and forgiveness all you want but don't spew your crap about people choosing to be gay because you have no idea. I know plenty of gay people, and I can tell you right now that it is not a choice. People are born that way. These people I know are wonderful people, and I am sick of religious nutcases saying it has to do with the devil. If God hates gays, when I die I'll gladly go where all the gays go.

Homosexuality is a choice. No one puts a gun to your head and forces you to be gay, you have the freedom of choice. Personally i don't care if you agree with me or not. Your beliefs are your beliefs and mine are mine. I never said God hates gays so stop shoving words in my mouth and take a chill pill.

After my chill pill and all, I feel the same. You can have your opinion but I just want to tell you that it's wrong. I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and say "hey I think I'm gonna divorce my husband. I'll try out a girl for a while." I didn't "choose" to be straight. That is just how I was born. People can't just "choose" who they love. People just need to accept that. It will never change.

I am not a member of the Westboro church. I ‘ve never been a member of any church and I have a very open mind and continue to learn about all beliefs. However, through my own study and life experience I believe that the Holy Bible, the same book that the myriad of Christian churches claim to be their authority, is the word of God. When I first heard about their funeral protests and the messages on their signs that bring so many people’s emotions to the boiling point, I was drawn into the nearly universal hatred and bashing of these people. But deep down, as hard as it was I had to admit they are proclaiming Christian doctrine not watered down, and most self professing Christians are hating them for getting negative attention for quoting scripture that might offend many people.

For the many Christians who are appalled and indignant over their public displays the challenge arises when you try to justify your anger by scripture, what Christians profess to be the very word of God. For example, even though I would not be compelled to protest at funerals I wanted to justify that they are simply wrong in God’s eyes for doing so. But I found that Jesus does not share this reverence for funerals and did not want to wait for a disciple to attend his own father’s funeral. Matthew 8:21-22. I’m sure this seemed very harsh and controversial to some people at the time, can you imagine being told not to go to your dad's funeral? I just know how easy it is for emotions to kick in, and I have decided to stop the verbal bashing and posting comments cheering the actions of people who threaten them or acted out in anger by slashing tires, etc. because who am I to judge, especially when they are quoting from the same book I base my beliefs on?

Yes, base your beliefs on a book that has been translated(rewritten) many times over throughout history to help control the masses. It is no longer a book that shows the teachings of Christ. It is a book that keeps the elite in charge and the sheep herded.

So are you saying that you believe the true teachings of Christ are lost forever? Or do you believe they are correct in an original transcript but they are now corrupted through translation? I am interested in learning and believe that my religion is a lifelong journey. If anyone can offer proof that the bible is fake and absolutely not the word of God, I can change. Until then that's the path I'm on based on my own faith and study so far. I know that many professing Christianity are impossible to talk to in depth because I have lived and worked around that type all of my life. I'm not here to shove any certain religion down anyone's throat.
