Your statement- understand your religion- is meaningless to me. What I do understand is my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The same Jesus who stated that the only true religion is to care for the widows and orphans.

You said originally that it is the rest of Christianity that picks and chooses which tenets they follow,
then go on to say that they are not really 'on base' with Christianity teachings, but then state that they are the only true Christians....

I am desperately trying to avoid a religious argument here, but tell me this:

When delivering the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus offers the blessings, beatitudes.
One of which is as follows:

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

How does the WBC comfort those who mourn when they protest funerals, funerals which i might add that they pick and choose as to which will bring them the most publicity?

There are many many other examples, but this one ppped into my head rather quickly.

He is merely a religion troll. Christian troll, in particular. Just take a look at some of his older posts. I need to learn to not bother responding to people who have no knowledge of the things of God. It is literally casting pearls before swine.

The bible is ment to be the word of your god, if your not following it all you are ignoring what your god says. Here are a few relevant bible quotes:

Ok, well obviously everyone picks and chooses when it comes to Christianity. But WBC are the only modern Christians who accept the reality of the bible. I honestly think as a fictional character the lord of the bible would understand that they are not able to fully act out the word of the bible, but at least the understand it and try and point it out to others.
Key word there is 'blessed'. The bible specifically states that only followers of the law of the bible shall be blessed. If they do not follow the bible then they are not worthy of blessing and therefore would not be comforted. If these people followed the law of the bible then WBC wouldn’t protest their funerals.

Don’t get me wrong I hate WBC, but no more then any other theist.. They are all just as crazy.
But I feel the need to stand up for them.
We live in a society where people are told the bible is fact, older generations were FORCED to believe and fear in it. So why do we criticize people who actually believe in it for what it is????
It comes down to the deep discontent Christians have in themselves. They live in a shaded reality where their conscious mind blocks out their subconscious that is telling them something is seriously wrong. Does it really make sense to you that people would say the believe in something but not actually follow what it says? Religion and specifically Christianity is a web of contradiction that confuses its followers into a place there mind cannot escape.

When is speaking the word of the bible being a Christian troll? I hate Christianity yet I'm the one who has to try and tell Christians the reality of what they follow. That’s like a Christian doing scientific research and telling evolutionists the facts the find.

Well unfortunately no Christian websites will actually tell people about that stuff. But it comes originally from the bible not that website, so who are you really criticizing. Don’t shoot the messenger.
Do whatever you want, i respect your opinions and enjoy our argument but I do have ears and they have been open my whole life. I have weighed up every possibility known to man and have come to the conclusion that I must wait for evidence before committing my life to following the teachings of men.

Im religious, and quite embarassed by the people he interviewed. I admit, I got a kick out of his questions, and I would probably do the same thing just to point out to them that their hatred is unfounded and misplaced. However, I do not hate them for being blind. Nowhere in the bible does it say God hates gay people. In fact i believe it says he loves each and every one of us and can account for us all just as well as every grain of sand.
Sin is what God despises and these simple people have been inspired or taught to hate their brothers and sisters and are actively sinning while encouraging others to hate as well. Just because they wave a Jesus flag about does not mean they sin with God's blessing. Ignorance does not save us and highlighting other peoples lives and personal preferences whilst trying to hide your own is not fooling anyone.
