The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is warning that the weather is only going to get worse in places where its been pretty bad in recent years already.

The report mentions that some areas may have to be permanently evacuated.... think about that for a minute.....

where would everyone from say the Dominican Republic go if they keep getting slammed by huge hurricanes? Would the US take them in??

What about other areas?

Should we be planning ahead for such situation??

Could the weather help ease tensions around the world, because if we're dealing with disasters we don't have time to fight.... or will they just exacerbate our problems?

Discuss....

Fema Camps

FEMA camps are fine for temporary housing and relocation, but they are hardly a permanent solution. If an entire island nation had to abandon its home, eventually they will have to assimilate into some other society. Lets get some ideas on how we can do this, or if its even possible or a good idea?

I personally think it would be horrible and a crime against humanity to just let them figure it out and fend for themselves.

We need to know just Why the weather distortions are becoming more intense, more frequent...

i would suggest that the Planet, is undergoing a infrequent period of internal changes... see

NuclearPlanet.com...

according to this scientists theory, the Earth is in the long process of some 3.5 Billion years of Decompressing
interesting theory...
and the reactor core is causing hotspots and other anomalies in the Mantle's convection currents, and increased outgassing causing heated up climate change and extremely violent weather all over the globe as normal wind currents change...

bringing extreme & chaotic weather all over the world.

its all from the sudden surge of increased global decompression, IMO

Sound like Progressive "scientist" fear mongering again. Their aim? Taxing "carbon emissions" for profit. No thanks.

Well, on a personal note, I certainly believe it. Even where I live, and have lived for 40 years, I have seen the craziest weather in the past year. Just this month we got a Nor'easter on Halloween (record breaking) which dumped 2 feet of snow in 12 hours. 2 days later it was 65 degrees. It has been in the 60's ever since. Typically at this time of year it is in the 30's and 40's and the ground is at least 3" frozen. I managed to extend my gardening, cool weather crops a month later than usual. I am not complaining, we usually have very long winters here so it's a nice break, yet I worry.

Did you read about the drought in Afghanistan today? So sad. theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com...

Right. I remember in 1991 there was 2 feet of snow dumped in Ohio (even more rarer than New England because we don't get "noreasters") on Halloween.

Just because you get weird weather every once in a while .. doesn't mean the World is ending, and it certainly doesn't mean we need to be taxed more!

The weather cannot be getting worse or increasingly severe. It's not possible. Everything is perfect and anything over and above is fear mongering. I'm very afraid.

Ah! A reason for the Chinese cities far from other cities. Slave labor in the guise of humanitarian services for the displaced.

(Partial joke, partial critical thinking)

Wow. This site is funny, everytime someone makes a comment it is assumed that they are making an end of the world prediction.

I should have elaborated, I worry because I have a homestead and these weather changes will effect next years crops. Most of my income comes from selling this crops.

Sure would be nice to see the actual 20 page report rather than some other person's take on the report...I believe it is sensationalistic journalism at best, especially when the news report you offered does not provide a direct link to the report...

Yes and not only that, it is all blatant unabated FEAR MONGERING! It creates fear! People are afraid! They been told such fear mongering rumours such as the world is ending.

And worse, they been told such fear mongering rumours like a tax increase!! Oh wait, that part wasn't fear mongering, that was truth.

You people forget that these findings come from a UN panel.

Which means the findings are likely wrong.

Agreed. Australia has already been raped by these monsters. The bill has passed and we're all going to get screwed harder than ever come July 2012 by this horrific tax. Shame on the Australian government.

Well of course things will get worse! If you don't play ball according to the globalists game plan, you get major earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, and whatever other disasters they can think of to throw your way....oh wait, ARE there any others left to choose from?!

You gotta just LOVE how the put that sentence in at the end about Carbon Emissions. When will you lot wake up and see that this process is totally natural.

Yes the temperature WILL rise again...thats a certainty. But we are a whole 13oC cooler globally than the time of the dinosaurs. (damn they must have had a lot of power stations and cars).

This process will repeat itself until the end of the world.

If ANY of you are concerned about "global warming", the biggest culprit is WATER VAPOUR...not f***ing CO2.

Grrrr, i hate these stupid reports that will cost me money based on bloody lies...
