Stan Friedman fires back at the White House's official response to the ET Petition:

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when personnel of the Office of Science and Technology Policy of the Executive Office of the President at the New Executive Office Building in Washington , D.C., discussed how to respond to a petition about disclosing data on UFOs. I suspect that nobody brought up the enormous amount of information available indicating that not only are aliens visiting, but the US and other government have been withholding information for many decades. The response certainly indicates intentional lying and misrepresentation or total ignorance. . . .

. . . No credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public? Is he really unaware of the many TOP SECRET UMBRA CIA UFO documents that have been released so heavily redacted that many pages say “Deny in Toto” or that many others are blacked out except for fewer than 8 words. . . .

I wouldn't surprise me if top level officials including BO himself haven't been let in on this massive cover up. Not that I am trying to protect Obama but he is nothing more than a puppet president so I'm sure there is a lot of top secret info that never is revealed to him or his staff. Presidents are typically in office either 4 or 8 years this conspiracy goes back decades so don't expect any kind of disclosure from the White House unless the TPTB want that information to be released.

Yes the response indicates total ignorance even of the most basic facts on the subject. My personal believe is that all material is now in private hands, just a look on the lack of interest from most branches of public service indicates that the campaign of disinformation has worked well to those that have any pertinent information.

I also am starting to believe that if the UFO phenomena is really alien (or other variations of external technological cultures) we have already been infiltrated and are being intentionally deceived by that (or those cultures). I find no other reason not to properly investigate the phenomena at this time in history. The cold war is over...

I do not claim that aliens are here but some of the phenomena that has survived amateur investigation, some even performed by very conscious persons, and also reports from pilots and air force, army and navy personal could not and should not be dismissed as they apparently have been. it is in my view a criminal action and a derelict of duty that some people will have to pay for.

I also think that the petition was badly formulated, it should have require the administration to publicly remove any obligation legal or moral for those in (or previously on) service to speak of what they know even threatening with legal action those that do not. Reports of green men and space ships can not do damage to national security, UFOs can probably cause some concern but then the government should create a public repository for such reports that science can study at a later not time sensitive opportunity and be public.

I'm not really fan of S. Friedman or any researcher for that matter but I like him. I like that he has the same nature of passionately defending something that is obviously hidden and kept in secret. I like that just like him (maybe), I would love to smash the heads of those in this 'Office of Science and Technology Policy of the Executive Office of the President at the New Executive Office Building in Washington , D.C'

I think they are punchable and beatable for such a reckless, ridiculous idiotic response and a total sexual abuse done on the question that the petition asked.

I also think that the media, ours included, that made it as if TO LEARN news that the response was there has never been ETs, we don't know what they are' BUT they may exist BUT the chance to find them is small' BLAJ BLAH, BLAH are also punchable

Why did I forget to call our media and tell them not to spread such disinformation and lies any more... JUst waiting for the next time I see such crap on the news, I will not hesitate to call them.

What we have here is a travesty against the public, the press, and those many witnesses who have come forth. There is a classic example of bait and switch. Try to redirect attention from aliens visiting (the subject of the petition along with concerns about cover-up) to hypothetical meaningless talk of what might be way out there for which there is no basis at all. If the discussion were in a court of law, Lawson would have to be convicted of perjury.

I totally agree with M. Friedman. Reading his article made me smile as he jabbed Lawson multiple times with 'Nothing Hidden?'...

But honestly, what answers did we expect from the WH? Transparency and full disclosure? Sure...

the amazing thing about full disclosure is that it will never happen unless ETs landed and did it themselves.
its pointless asking the government to tell us everything because no matter what they say we will always think they are holding something back and half the population will always think they are lying.

me personally, i think that ETs definatly do exist, whether or not they have visted us or even know we exist is debatable though

If I had to choose where to get my information on UFO's and such Stanton Friedman and this other guy Richard Dolan would be my first choice.

The denial of the US government can mean a lot of things. As pointed out, it says that we can assume that this announcement is agreed upon by all the nations friendly with the USA. With other words it is decided to lie to the people.

You can now ask yourself why would they lie while they know that 'hard-core' believers will not change their minds because the White House said so?

I have the feel in my gut that they are trying to stall for something that will happen in the near future and will not break their "disclosure-agenda" concerning ET-disclosure. I think that the (NWO) US governments and all the "connected" (NWO) governments in the world have decided that they will not give disclosure on the UFO subject untill the UFO's are flying over our cities. Maybe it is a project bluebeam thing. Announcing the existance of ET would take away the surprise and mass hesteria effect when an alien invasion is happining.

Anyways,....what I am trying to say is that we should think about what reason would these governments have to continue lying while each year the UFO sightings are increasing and more people are becoming aware of the lies governments are selling their citizens. They are making things worse for themselves...which brings me back to a final end-game in the near future where they can seize absolute power and control over the human population.

Thats why the White House person who responded to the petition was extremely low level, and wouldnt have any information about NASA's normal operations open to the public let alone info on ET.

Several groups are upset with the White house response, and MSNBC actually covered one of those groups as well. No comment from the White House for MSNBC, however apprently the group they covered is going to re-submit a new petition.

For people out there that read and buy books, Stanton Friedman has a new book out called, "Interstellar Travel, Crashes, and Governmental Cover Ups Flying Saucers and Science A Scientist Investigates UFOs.

Have not had a chance to read this (just got it)..........looks interesting. I got this book because Dr. Friedman is respected within the science community, is a very well educated man and from having met him briefly (Hello, smile and goodbye) he seemed to be smart, honest and decent person.

Our technology has zoomed since 1947 at a alarming and possibly unnatural rate.

My guess, gut feeling, and a possible (notice I didn't say absolute, just a guess) is that the strongest military government at the time (America) possibly met with, captured, came into contact with some ET and made a deal - selling us out (us being the common man/woman that has no inkling as to the real goings on).

Now if that is the case, it's like a six year old making a deal with a eighteen year old............the older one is smarter, stronger and going to mess over the six year old.

Just a guess, a hypothesis - nothing more.

Add to that personally I suspect (see there again I don't use absolutely know) that we may be dealing with not only ETs from outside our solar system, within our solar system but even other dimensions, timelines, parallel worlds, and multiverses.

We could be (didn't say absolute cause I'm only guessing, thinking out loud) we're dealing with some of the above, a combination of the above or maybe those that say this is all hooey are right and none of the above......we might even be dealing with demons, fallen angels, although my own personal feeling is I don't believe in a singular "God" (scripture translations were not done correctly, all refs to god left off the s making god, gods (plural)

Anyway, this promises to be another interesting read and Stanton T. Friedman is indeed a noted scientist and appears to be a very asute, reality based individual.

The video below is very interesting and gives those not familiar with Dr. Friedman a overview of this ingenious and courageous man.

Until there is massive, undeniable proof, such as a craft landing in a very public place, the US government will never tell us the truth. It's going to be swamp gas reflecting the light from Venus till then.

What incentive do they have to tell the truth? They have no conscience. And they know we will not hold them accountable for their lies, or their actions.

The ETs should learn by now that they cannot get any disclosure from the government. They better take this responsibility upon themselves and decloak themselves in front of millions of people. Then the US government will be forced to admit that aliens are indeed visiting us.

I feel this: the number of people who believe in such a concept as "life outside the planet," is actually BIGGER than we can imagine. Hint, hint------> the presence of extraterrestrial beings

It's great that we're trying to work hand-in-hand with our government (which is compromised of PEOPLE like yourself/myself/guy riding on a skateboard), but it seems that they need a bit of a push so to speak. Why not be bold and direct?! And state our beliefs?! Take action?! ...there are many avenues we have yet to explore as a community.

PS: I firmly believe beings exist on other planets (having never seen one physically). If anyone feels the same way, we should discuss this more --->I'm personally inviting the ATS community to join in. Let's freely "disclose" our beliefs to the government and anything else of related substance. It can only get better from here on out.

That's the simple fact and your spot on, even if the governments made some kind of "official" announcement, we still wouldn't be happy unless they turned up themselves all over the world at the same time, and on that basis their appearance would be based on their terms.

Well good for Mr. Friedman. I too would have loved to be a fly on the wall when they discussed this. When are they going to come clean? When saucers fill the skies? Be a little too late then, don't you think? This issue alone is enough to make anyone not trust the government.

Mornin' All,

Stan errs in his rebuttal the same way that Bassett did in framing the "petition" . . . and that is by melding UFOs and ET together without explanation. The term and or acronym "UFO" was borne by the Air Force officially in 1952 (See The Report On UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS by Frmr Capt Edward J Ruppelt [Doubleday & Co Garden City, New York, 1956] chapter 1, page 1), and like the book explains, UFO = U.nidentified F.lying O.bject; emphasis on UNIDENTIFIED–it not mean mean "alien craft."

No where in the petition does the term "UFO" show up and therein lies the problem. If the petition was in reference to "UFOs," opposed to ET's, then the "official answer" from the White House penned by Larson wouldn't and couldn't have been used–particularity since the Air Force, et al, officially investigated UFOs for over 20 years, and the ample evidence that Stan cites would apply.

It doesn't matter what the petition asked, they would never give you the answer. The question should have been, however, 'Why UFOs are not openly revealed, investgated and documented by the government when the project Blue Book stated they are no indication of threat to national security

Could be... that the the U.S. government is still denying the presense of ET/ other- worldly craft, by a plan to shoot down a flying saucer, if possible, to gain access to technology still denied too them by ET.

If.... however unlikely, that the U.S. did shoot down a flying saucer -- There excuse's would be: We did not know that these peaceful other-worlder's were flying around in our atmosphere for at least decade's; so we just shot the saucer down because we thought that it was a terrorist bomb plane that was violating U.S. airspace; or that the fighter pilot thought that he was shooting at the planet Venus, swamp gas, etc etc.

The actions of the Obama administration, by denying full ET disclosure, could possibly signify that the U.S. has evil and violent intentions on ET flying saucers; in order to gain ET technology at any cost.

I would urge ET -- "To be cautious," but I don't have to worry, since I know that they already are.
