it's a typical commercial event: selling confectionery. peperos are these long sticks covered in chocolate and candy. when you put 4 of these sticks together, they appear to look like 11.11, this is celebrated every year in Korea. i bet this year they lots of 6 to make up the 11.11.11 !

" target='_blank' class='tabOff'/>

all over the world 11th of 11 is famous for all kinds of celebrations, e.g:
in Germany 'fashing' starts at 11.11. 11:11
Rememberance Day, Poppy Day or Vetaran's Day

does anybody know of more cultural events ?

a masonic ritual at Giza ?

edit: ats, how many times do i have to complain?? not even edit works !

It's all horses' birthday, where i live, all horses get a special carrot cake today

11 is the number for transformation

11:11 is also the number that represents the twin souls

and we have some marriages even here on ATS

we have quite a few birthdays here on ATS (including mine !!)

it's the 11th already here where i live. early morning hours........... but all is well.

there was an unusually loud and elaborate concert by the birds at dawn, but i think that was to celebrate yet an other beautiful day.

good luck for all those who will play skyrim (what ever that is, sounds like ice skating to me)

..........i'll go to the beach

and it's St.Martin's Day in Switzerland. resp. it used to be in old times.

the tax man of some feudal lord would come around to claim his tax on the 11th of the 11. if poor farmers had no money, they would pay in geese. hence the St. Martin's Day Goose. the lords would eat a lot of geese in those days.
