Ashes from service members' remains went to landfill

Is this what you get when you sign up for army ?

You sign up, train, dispatched to invade *cough* "protect" *cough* our land in other people land and get feet blown off. Later the leg burned and dumped in the landfill ? Nice.

We bury our cats, dogs and put tombstone and yet we burn and dump our legs ?
I dont know the morality value of this.

MODS: Sorry posted on wrong thread, pls move it to correct ones.

Could be worse.

The Contractor could have sold the ashes as fertilizer to make money on the side....like our Nuclear Power plants are doing with radioactive waste.

This is the third post on this.

Does this really do any good? I see it as a hindrance to forward discussion. How about topics that mean something? Topics that actually expose the criminal regime and homegrown terrorism being shipped overseas. Or is that too radical? Hehe... You see, me and ATS don't get along too well.

There's plenty of people who don't get proper burials. Get over it...

A uniform doesn't equal respect and this trash just clogs up the news feed!

That's just my opinion, from a detached perspective, of course.

I guess I'm cold hearted. I'm retired Air Force and unless the members were told that there would be a certain disposal, I don't see a problem. I never lost a whole body part, but what little bits I did lose, I assumed they ended up in the trash. If the members want to get the bits and pieces for proper disposal, then give it to them or have them pay for the disposal, but if it's a case of lose it and leave it, then just dump it as long as as it doesn't cause any health risk to others.
