We have been told that Israel and the US developed STUXNET in order to stop Iran from pursuing a nuclear agenda. STUXNET is said to be the most advanced weapon of its type ever created and yet it appears to have failed at its stated goal. The goal could not have been to simply delay Iran for a short while. Or could it? Does it makes sense that so much time and expertise (if the reports are to be believed) would be poured into STUXNET simply to buy a little time? Or was the purpose of STUXNET something else altogether? Or was the potential effectiveness miscalculated?

Iranian proxies such as Syria have openly threatened to fire thousands of missiles on Tel Aviv if attacked by NATO.

Iran has also openly threatened to wage war in the streets of Europe and the U.S. targeting civilians if their nuclear sites are targeted. Perhaps there are already sleeper cells in place that are ready to wreak havoc if necessary.

At what point would this deliberate targeting of innocent civilians stop?

Can anyone truly be certain that a fanatical regime such as Iran would not resort to firing atomic/nuclear weapons if the situation escalated in the region?

iran has been the goal all along.

9/11 was just a ploy to get us into the mid-east.
Iraq and afghan surround iran on both sides.
By going to "war" in those countries it gives us the oppertunity to set up large military bases there to hit Iran hard from both sides.
This information mixed with the attempted killing of a Saudi diplomat (Saudi is just to the south of Iran) we not have their support against Iran.
The goal is to flank them on all sides and the move in towards the center leaving them with no where to run.

Launching short range conventional missiles and launching nukes are very different things.

Syria's threats are BS. They know if they do that, Israel won't stop till Assad is out.

If Assad is insane enough to use chemical and biological weapons, he'll get nuked.

If anyone from Hamas, Hezbollah or Syria end up with a nuke, Iran will get nuked.

I'm sure they won't do it because the elite in Iran rather keep their power then nuke Israel. All elites are like that. The Soviets were like that, the Chinese were like that, Kim Jong Il is like that, Pakistan is like that.
