I found this article in both the USA Today and the Buffalo news but it does not say where it originates from so there is no link. Instead of printing
it out in full here is a brief synopsis. Hopefully someone will have seen this somewhere else and can provide a link.
A virus recently discoverered in Japan is suspected in two sudden infant deaths in Wisconsin, raising questions about how many cases of "crib
death" might be caused by germs. The cases mark the first time the virus (human parechovirus-3, or HPEV-3) had been identified in the US. Crib death
is a catchall phrase for unexplained deaths in children under the age of one.
This make help explain why there are so many cases of babies dying and no cause is found. Hopefully this will make parents of these babies feel better
knowing that they played no part in the deaths and stop them from feeling like they did something wrong!
