Because there are actual religious and faith-based websites such people can go to to request prayer.

Who is forcing you to pray with the OP? No one. The invitation was put out there to pray... If you don't want to. Don't.

People are attacking the OP for daring to believe and it is shameful. That is not what ATS is about... People demanding the OP justify their membership? Ridiculing them for believing differently?

Honestly, It's gross. They have every right to believe and for them to be attacked for having their own belief? So much for freedom of religion, I suppose.

I'm sorry Doom. I cant believe everything happens for a reason. Once I believed this, but I just cant see so much misery being that is just supposed to happen. I'm not denying that you are right, and cant say that you're wrong. I just cant find this in my own life and the lives I've seen. So many prayers unanswered, so many rich churches and preachers, yet their flock starves, looses their homes and remain in poverty. Sure, they may have more worth in their faith, but so many who believe find it really hard to get by each day and faith will fail for many. I've heard people say, "if your prayers arnt answered, then it's not God's plan for you". What happen to free will? Is this perhaps the reason? Due to the free will of others, many will not find their own happyness...

Anyways, doom. Nice thread. I'm sorry I cannot find the light in your words. Perhaps my soul is just too cloudy from the life I lived. (shrugs) Yet I still search... as wearysome as it seems. As lost as I've become.. I search still.

These people think I am a filthy sinner just for existing so no, I do no accept that they should be allowed to have a stake in every, single corner of the internet. The same forum to preach their god's eternal love and also their horror at everything that isn't covered in a doily and prostrating itself in front of christian alter.

Their crap is all over the new topics page sometimes.

Sorry that the fact I have had a absolute gutsfull of their rubbish offends your sense of freedom to speak one's mind but they do all the time and it's hardly very nice to hear.
