Capitalism is an economical stream whilst Socialism is a social stream I don't see how you can line these up.
But I'm not entirely sure!
Socialism, National Socialism, Fascism, Bolshevism etc
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Capitalism, Communism etc
National Socialism; Serve and protect the common interest.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not entirely sure.
But of course. From the academician's view of categorizing modalities of ideological policy, you are most certainly correct.
But my observation was perhaps not effectively phrased to convey the meaning.
It is my contention that these '-isms' are constructs which people are inclined to accept as drivers of 'bodies' of doctrine. Therein lies my point
of contention. The idea that for example "socialism" and "capitalism" bear no comparison begs dissection.
These ideologies drive governance and policy - while effectively excluding anything outside their pre-determined label.
It's the labeling that constitutes the lie.
Most every government has used the labeling to to ensure that divisive strategies can be deployed to manipulate perception and keep the herd properly
(from their perspective) focused. 60 years ago, had you asked any Chinese patriot about capitalism and they would have decried it the most evil
social construct ever implemented by a ruling class. Look at them today. At the same time had you asked any American about the "socialistic"
ideology, they would have smacked you in the face with an American made brick, and planted an American flag between your ribs (hyperbole - just
kidding of course) ... because nothing 'socialistic' could possibly be anything other than "red communism" in disguise.... Today we are beginning to
see these ideas of socialism, communism, capitalism, and such as mere window-dressing for a supranational class of super elite economic royalty who
gets to do whatever they say, manages to make everyone think that their control of currency and economy is "THE ONLY PATH" humankind can ever
follow.... while themselves capitalizing on the restriction blithely supported, and promoted by the leaders who are supposed to have a burning passion
to serve their country and people..... (as long as it keeps them hip deep in vainglory and riches)
Now we know better, these labels are not mutually exclusive. Yet in the end, regardless of the "-ism" under which any nation falls (except perhaps
Iran, and North Korea) the "ism" is bent, twisted, manipulated, legislated, folded, spindled, and mutilated into serving the beneficiaries of some
Central bank who miraculously all have legislated monopolies on credit, currency and monetary policy... all these countries hating each other for
their particular "-ism" and yet all agree the Central banks are the center of the universe.
The proof isn't in the academician's definition... it's in the reality of practice.
