Seriously, am I the only one??
Do Americans not realize that Ron Paul has been a part of the nasty mess that currently occupies our National Senate/Congress??

I realize I will get flamed for this, but I mean it! How blind must our fellow Americans be?

Ron Paul is just part of the machine. How can anyone possibly believe he is any different from all of the other criminals in office? They all LIE for a living- yes ALL of them.

Can anyone say HIGH TREASON?

As far as who would be better? Sadly, I do not think there will even be elections in 2012, I fully expect our current criminal in chief to declare martial law in the very near future. The C.I.C., (Criminal in Chief) , /our dear leader/Dictator has been ruling by executive order, and has openly promised to continue to do so. All it takes is a "National Emergency", defined by the traitors themselves,(Economic Emergency anyone?), and he can suspend the constitution...just like that.

mods, please move this if it is in the wrong thread

Yes you are. Ron Paul has been fighting the machine for decades. Do some research, check his record, his stance on all topics. The " hes just another politician" bit couldn't be further from the truth.

No you are not. Anyone with an a brain that isn't full of cognitive dissonance will.
Being on a conspiracy site where in which everyone says that the political process is a scam, while supporting someone who is ALLOWED to be a potential candidate for the Presidency (even if it is just a far off and silly, silly dream.).

Come on, think about it.

Check out Ron Paul's' record. He is the only anti-goverment person in government, if that makes any sense. But really he is the only politician that makes any since and places his votes for what he says.

Ron Paul is a part of the machine...a part of the machine that will take the place of the old one.

No, you're not the only one. Others like you have created such threads and were set straight by the logic of fellow ATSers

When he starts each debate out with, "I've been in politics for 35 years" and he does, he labels himself as no different then the bozos we have in now

We need something different and Paul is not it

It doesn't matter as long he doesn't get elected. If he's elected then of course he's part of the machine. The presidency itself is part of the machine. Besides if he is really not part of the machine, how come his son manages to become a senator of the United States? Think about it, use some sense.

RP, Tea Party, JBS, Koch Brothers.

I could not agree with the OP more. Sorry to say it, but as good of a guy as Ron Paul seems, he is just one of the many puppets that have fooled the masses many times before. I wish people would wake up and realize that if someone gets elected president, it is because "they" put them in there, and that person is not going to do anything for the average American.

We are at a time in this world where we need to stop putting hope in men, and start putting all our hope in Jesus Christ. He is the only One who can save us in the end.

So an experienced politician who is not like the rest, is not what the USA needs? If not someone like Paul, then who?

Oh yes, the Illuminati totally planted him in Congress back in '75 and told him to vote constitutionally for 40+ years, then had him run for president so he could attract the conspiracy theorist vote and turn back on everything he's said. Paul has been in the making since 1935 and in fact the original Paul plan was devised by Federal Reserve bankers in 1913, though it would be several decades before they followed through with it.

In other words, your assessment is invalid. Please try again.

As long as Ron Paul is a member of the Republican party, I'll always have some healthy distrust towards him.

Ron Paul speaks for me, yes he does. That said, we need to see who he plans to appoint as cabinet members. You see, words are cheap and history has taught us that president are only puppets, spokes people, for the corporations. Look at Obama the candidate for example.

Flowery speeches, transparency, all for main street yet when he became president he filled his cabinet with the same corporate scum, regardless of party, that caused this planned economic catastrophy. Affordable healthcare? No! New customers for overpriced private insurance via unconstitutional mandate. End the wars, the drain of lives and treasury by the military-industrial complex? No! Expand wars and more innocent deaths by multiplying drone strikes. Full support on medical marijuana? No! Million dollar per hour raids by the DEA.

Bailed out banks, continued the tax givewaways for the rich and the patriot act plus black sites, guantanamo and torture. In essence, he expanded the policies and agenda of his predecessor, the now protected war criminal Bush. You see, it doesnt matter if its left or right. The candidate could be the second coming of Christ, but the tail that follows is sure to be a pointy one.

Ron Paul talks a good game, but he belongs to a rotten system. If a president had real power to change things and a true beneficial agenda for the middle and poor classes they'd be JFK'd. Both parties have their apparently overwhelmed "well meaning politicos", but these are just the "good cops" working hand in hand with their counter parts to sell us a false sense of electoral choice. Just like extreme socialism eventually festers and rots into communism, capitalism follows the same devolution into tyrannical fascism and thats where we are today.

Case in point:

"If voting made any difference, it would be illegal" -Emma Goldman

"One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation."
-Thomas B. Reed (1886)

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -Goethe

"When the government's boot is on your throat, whether it is a left boot or a right boot is of no consequence."
-Gary Lloyd

Deny ignorance my arse. This website seems to be breeding ignorance as of late. If Ron Paul isnt a suitable POTUS for you then who would get your vote?

No, you're not alone.

While most Americans are busy drinking the kool aid, there are still some of us that see Ron Paul as just another politician that is good at making promises.

Because that's all he has done. Most who support him, do so blindly I think. With him in office there is no way in hell that he will get things done due to his "plans" being too radical. Anyone who thinks that he will magically get congress to approve his "to do list" is dreaming.

The guy wants to get rid of medicare and social security, thus leaving the elderly to fend for themselves. Mr. Paul doesn't know that not everyone has a few million in the bank like he does. If we get rid of those two things then whats the point of even having a country, when we're not going to have a safety net to take care of our elderly & disabled when they can't take care of themselves?

Ron Paul is either the last cog needed to put the machine (i.e. N.W.O.) into action or he is the last hope of awakening the people to the machine that is controlling them and break the chain.

Unfortunately, the only reason why I think this way is due to the masses and their willingness (or need) to have someone show them the way. If everyone could critically think for themselves then the question posed by the OP would be a non-issue as the answer would be we don't need anyone and can change things as we see fit.

Is Ron Paul the last cog needed? It depends on whether or not he has an ulterior motive... which can be near impossible to know.
