It looked "like war" when at least six people died and more than 100 were injured in a giant gas explosion on Wednesday at Sasol in Secunda.

"The people lay scattered around," said one of the shocked workers, who asked to remain anonymous.

"I can't describe in words how terrible it looked."

I was rattled when the loud explosion happened and my building shocked like hell, working only about 2 kilometres for the explosion zone, it felt rite next to me.

We always which things like this don�t happen, it was terrible.
