What do you think the ramifications would be if concerned citizens, residents, wall street and perhaps the Tea Party applied for permits and practiced their first amendment and second amendment rights right to get the unlawful protestors out?

Please discuss.

OWS would complain about it and try to get them to stop, because when it comes to nonsensical protests the only rights that exist are yours

Realistically, I think the Zuccotti Park group in particular would be physically dangerous to counter-protest in a serious way and right there at the park. I think no matter how hard the counter-protest tried to keep it nothing but signs and sayings, someone would get violent. The seeming sense of ownership of this land more as time goes on is disturbing.

I couldn't even begin to guess what the public reaction would be...on either side. That would be uncharted waters in what is already a unique situation. Hey, on a purely hypothetical level, I'd sure enjoy watching it attempted.

With all due respect, they would be their lawfully and bearing arms. I don't think OWS would mess with them. Then again I think that as long as elements of the OWS that wishes to stay and remains peaceful, they should have a right to do so.

I'm thinking about recent stories I've seen about areas of the park even protesters avoid after dark and the regular mini-crime waves they are getting in various camps. They have the hard core criminal element in the larger camps too.

It doesn't even need to be a true OWS member that starts it...it won't change the outcome much either way. As the big camps keep moving toward trying to be communities within communities around them while allowing all comers in with open arms, I think that problem will only become larger. Just my opinion.

First and second amendment.
The right to peaceably assemble and the right to bear arms.
To protect the nation against enemies, both foreign and domestic.

I think it would curb crime more than anything. But then again I do see your point, it could start a civil war, however me personally I would rather error on the side of the constitution and align myself against the criminal element, but thats just me.

They wouldn't be their to protest, they would be there to enforce constitutional values.

I think they should do it. As long as their medical insurance is up to date. You know the entitlement OWS crowd would get the knickers in a bunch if some one did something...legal?

If there is a counter protest in my town, I will attend it.

Lol whats your point, seriosuly what does having a gun at a rally and the constitution have to do together, i think you just like to be able to call the constitution, and i dont get why...

AGAIN why would you need a gun to protest, its not gonna make the protest better,

I could bring a butter knife too, im sure its in the constitution somewhere that i can carry my own butter knife, wont change much but heck ill have butter on my toast...

Do you understand what i mean

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

LOL thats not my point, assembling peacefully does not necessarily mean to protest anything.
