That Rumbling Sound Again

I live in Northeastern Oklahoma. We live in a rural area of a very small town. So needless to say, its very quiet at our house.

I was in our spare bedroom having a cigarette and heard a loud rumbling noise outside. It sounded like a gigantic jet flying very low, along with a steady,deep,humming noise. I have read the majority of the threads about this phenomena, and actually surprised me that it was happening here!

It lasted about 4 minutes total. I opened the bedroom window to get a better listen, and it was continuously changing volume level...up and down, up and down. I wanted to see if i could see anything in the sky. So I took off outside and to no surprise , Couldn't see a thing, only hear it. It was very fascinating to say the least. I grabbed my phone to start recording. Before I made it to the video camera, the darn thing died... It made its appearance in Oklahoma finally!

This took place on Tuesday 11/01/11 at approximatel 21:30.

Anyone else hear it tonight?

I am yet to hear this strange noise but I'm certainly fascinated in it.

I have had dreams about this rumbling sound...but have never actually heard it in wakefulness reality. In my dream the sound comes from UFO's ..from other planets....and they have technology so advanced....that we are not able to see their ships...unless they want us to.

LOL, wait, isn't that just a scene from The Thing playing in the background? Certainly sounds like it's coming from behind the camera. And it sounds exactly like the sound effects in Carpenters "The Thing", especially the scene where they torch Fukes (sp). The last couple of seconds sound incredibly similar, so I'm not 100% convinced. The movement of the camera suggests whoever is filming it is also playing up the whole event.

Whatever the cause may be, I would assume there is a chance it will all become clearer as some sort of stable resonance is reached (if it continues as it has).

It would be interesting to see a frequency analysis of one of the higher quality videos, or even one of the lower quality ones. Dont think I have seen any actual exploration of it other than noting when it occurs. Ideally, of course, one would be able to record and analyze the noise directly.

I have to agree with you, I found myself looking away from the screen just so I wouldn't get creeped out anymore putting the two together, kind of felt uncomfortable for a bit! lol....at the end it reminded me off a cow in labor though!

It's like we're crossing into another dimension and we're getting the audio from this other dimension but not the visual.

creepy much! lol. wonder what it is! There is an increase in reports of similar incidents lately.

We finally heard something too about a week ago. It was around 10pm at night. We still have no idea what it was and we aren't the only ones that heard it. People that live 2 to 4 miles away also heard it. This is what we recorded on FLIP VIDEO.

Just had the same sound on the coast NW England (popular seaside town) Noise was getting real loud then quite then real loud again, surprise surprise nothing noticeable in sky but there was some cloud cover.

I can't say that I've heard it personally, but there have been reports of this phenomena for years. Idk what it is. My guess is either interdimensional aliens or some kind of electromagnetic phenomena.

Springfield MO. here...I heard noise too....I presumed it was a youngster with a big bass stero in a car....but weird..that I noted the time and day...with you....also keep in mind your not far from Whiteman AFB and they regularly run flight from witchita falls OK/TX to whiteman...which would be directly over you...esp....the big Galaxy
