Here is one of the reasons why I don't support ows.

biggovernment.com...

This is a list of supporters, sponsors, and sypathizers. I believe in free markets and I don't believe a poor man is going to give me a job. I do believe in hard work and making do with what you can afford. I don't believe that everyone is equal in the work force and I don't believe that the unions serve a purpose any more.

But that's not what Nancy Pelosi believes:
www.fitsnews.com...
She wants Boeing to not operate without a Union. Can you actually believe that?

How about "OK Boeing. We'll give you a couple of government contracts in exchange for private sector jobs",
Isn't that how we reward contractors for single dwelling homes? Build some public housing, and you can build some mansions in the next city.
Oh WAIT! That's not working.

My point? There is such an overlap of public and private contracts, for Nancy Pelosi to act like a spokesperson for Unions and the protectionism of the "people" is a farce.
Kinda the way I see "some" of OWS.

I never liked that women or her politics. I'm still out on OWS.

It's hard to be sure about anything, but one thing is sure, is that unions give people clout that they would otherwise not have, maybe you could take a straw poll around the OWS protests to see if anyone has been sacked by their employer just for being there. There is Now't so simple, that is why I use my example.

Apart from your linked list I don't see what the rest of your post has to do with OWS specifically. 'The big deal' as I understand it is ending the federal reserve debt monopoly on the American dollar.
I don't have a clue as to what "I don't believe a poor man is going to give me a job" is supposed to mean and as a bonus look up shyster in the Dickandhairy.

For the record I've been occupying stuff all me life, including American air force bases in England and squats in London Id be a hypocrite to say occupying stuff was a bad thing..But, if the lucis Trust is working behind the scenes to bring in some new big wig we need to be informed
This thread's about the connection between OWS and Lucis trust.Lets stay on topic

it's my understanding (and I may be wrong) that ows is mostly about wealth redistribution. That is why I said what I did. From what I've seen of this protest, it's not about getting rid of the fed it's about wall street. If they wanted to get rid of the fed why aren't they protesting d.c. I'm poor but I don't consider myself part of the 99%. I work for what I have and I feel great about it. If I wanted more out of life, I would work harder, but I'm content with what I have. In this country, your only limit on what you can achieve is you. Look at how many people started off dirt poor and rose above it.

From this article, I happened to be just reading, it would appear that the 1% already experiences a redistribution of wealth. I imagine their 37% share of the tax bill gets lost somewhere in the government circus.

www.kiplinger.com...

The latest numbers from the IRS -- based on 2009 tax returns -- show what it takes to be among the top 1% of income earners: adjusted gross income of $343,927 or more. The 1.4 million Americans with this elite status reported 16.9% of all the country’s taxable income.

That’s right. One percent of taxpayers reported almost 17% of all taxable income. But that same tiny group also kicked in 37% of all the taxes paid. How much do you need to make to be in the top 50% of earners? Just $32,396. Fall below that level and you are in the bottom half, along with nearly 70 million of your fellow taxpayers.

What is your national wealth rank and tax burden? You can find out at:

www.kiplinger.com...

I'm above the bottom 50%, but still below the top 1 percentile range.

In the beginning, I was very supportive of OWS, but become further alienated from them each day. See, I've worked hard to accumulate my tiny wealth, and have no interest to simply give more away. I'd like to keep more of my money, and that seems to clash with OWS. I've never frivolously wasted my money on countless unnecessary material items. That's why I have it now. I'm not saying everyone has wasted their money, and that is why they are so poor. I understand everyone's situation is different, but to those situations I am becoming more and more indifferent.

im in the 50% range i suppose.

but my girlfriend is far into the 1% if you go by that $349,000 number.

and believe me, the tax burden on those earners is absurd. ive seen the w2s and whatnot, and she pays more taxes in a year than probably any 5 OWS people will in their entire lifetimes. and thats just the personal income stuff, doesnt even include all the business stuff.

and she employs several people that get paid very well, and have pretty great jobs (a lot of staff is around 25 and making $60,000/year depending on how hard they work). how dare her run a successful business right? that evil 1%er!

i always laugh when people talk about how the 1% are soooo scared of the OWS partiers. what a joke.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was raised in a very rural area with no real opportunities and neither of my parents went to college. They were hard workers, intelligent and gave me a first rate upbringing. I decided early on that I wanted to be successful and with lots of hard work and luck I helped to start a company that was bought for a huge amount of money during the dot com bubble. I did all of that before I even had a degree. It was all due to hard work, creativity and learning how to figure out an industry and fill a niche. I wasn't smarter than anyone else, but I didn't limit myself. By doing so I walked away with earnings well into the 7 figures. I eventually acquired degrees in neuroscience and psychology and today I'm working on my MD degree.

So, as far as I'm concerned the OWS whiners can STFU. If I can achieve some degree of wealth and success in life nearly anyone can.

Are you talking about people changing banks? Because that is all I have heard of for that date. Your words sound a bit melodramatic, however, for just bank changing, so I wonder what you might be trying to tell us.

Be more specific.

Ho ho "melodramatic" does not give them justice, i am merely a messanger , a man behind a mask , i will tell you now , bringing down the banks is not our goal , that would be too easy , and that is what they expect .. but the fact is , the banks are the tail of the snake , they are the wall between you and them , and that wall collapsed years ago , the path is in sight , all we are going to do is ........ clear it .

On Nov 5th facebook will be destroyed , and all of their media tools will be brought to their knees , the U.S and the UK will feel ..... if only for one day ... free.

They have been warned , and the people have been informed.

Remember, Remember ....... the fifth of November.

I'm still waiting, by the way.

There is nothing fishy about the ... "occupy movement" ... look around you , look at the people who claim to be "leaders" yet ignore our cries for justice , they spin their webs to confuse you , to ensure you do not join the "movement" .

I do not smell anything "fishy" .... what i smell is fear , they fear you , they are now aware of what lies ahead of them , they are looking at the carrot yet do not dare to bite it , when they bite , we bite , and the true revolution begins.

The revolution will not be televised , it will not be discussed , but it does not need to be discussed , we all feel it , we all know what is coming , they know what is coming, and all the armies in the world can not stop it , it is not flesh it is an idea , it can not be twisted , it can not be changed , it can not die.

The media is their gratest weapon and soon it will be stolen from under their noses.

www.youtube.com...

Nov 5th ...... Remember.

Hey, guess what today is?! What time is the revolution supposed to start? I have to run an errand this morning and then take my kids to the park, plus I have to study for an upcoming exam (apparently they won't just give me this MD degree).

Even though it's already November 5th I'll still let my offer for a wager stand for a few more hours.
