Why Russia?

In the past week Russia has been hit pretty bad. I know this is nothing new to them but it seems that Al-queda is linking up with the chec's and causing mass panic. I'm just wondering what did Russia do to piss them off so bad.?

The Chechans don't need Al-Qaeda to help them. They are more than capable by themselves. Until Russia solves the Chechan problem we can expect these attacks to continue.

They are fighting for independance. So Russia gave them limited autonomy. It was a pretty good deal for them. But as is the case in Isreal, the bad guys wanted more. If you make a deal with these people after they commit acts of terrorism, you lose. They won't stop up until they destroy you.

That is not true. It is a fact that most of the financing the Chechen rebels are receiving, comes from outside (Saudi Arabia anyone?). Some locals are paid in hard currency to plant roadside bombs. Salaries are paid to the fighters and stipends to their families. It takes money to fight, you know. Plus, there are a number of actual Arabs found among the rebels.

There has probably never been a direct Al Qaeda involvement, though.

well, there is Saudi money everywhere!!! Hell, they gave me money just to switch to mecca-cola! Jus kiddin, but while the Chechens have been recieving money from moody arab sources, they also have funded themselves the longest through kidnapping, drug/gun running extortion and racketeering.

Sure they get money from all sorts of muslim orginizations, Al-Qaeda would only make up a small part if at all. The Kavkaz websites have some footage from the Chechan muj. These videos are taken to prove that they are fighting the Russians so they can recieve money and weapons, The more active you are the more you get.

As for Arabs fighting with them - Chechans normally shun arab fighters and will not fight alongside them.

In the Muslim (at least Bin Ladin) opinion Russia is as bad as US and Israel because it attacks a Muslim nation so Bin Ladin and Basayev have declared open war

It is so obvious that recent attacks on Russia are initiated and supported by Al-CIAda. It is one stone and two birds for Bush. It punished Russia for its opposition to Iraq war and its support for Iran. Secondly, Bush can exploit this in Republican Convention to show the terror and terrorize US people to follow him for 4 more years.

Unfortunately, most US people are only blinding patriot and follow mass propaganda by CNN, Fox, etc. I believe Putin will retaliate soon.

The problem is that Bush is only the front man. He has people Cheney, Wolfwitz, Perle, Feith, Condi, Rove, etc to plan and do for him. Do you know the recent Israel Spy of US high official?

I agree, but they are getting some foreign muslim aid as well, though I doubt it's Al Queda directly.....more like the kinds of fronts that are used by multiple organizations...

I don't think it's the Saudis though, this time....after all, they've just become bed-buddies with mother Russia, so not a good idea to upset your customers.... May be independent Saudi nationals though...but not the government itself......

Why Russia?

the Zionists are smart. Instead of USA and Russia fighting against each other, they will unite together on the war on terrorism(muslims). therefore Israel will definitely have secure borders.
