I always have wondered what the allure of these mythical creatures was. It seems like they have become more and more famous over the last 5 years or so. I recently was in downtown denver a few weeks ago, and they were having a "zombie crawl" Over 20,000 people dressed up as zombies and strolling the streets. My teenage niece and nephews and all their friends are just crazy for zombies. Am I the only one who does not understsand the allure?

Yes, Zombies are worth billions to the non-zombie community!

But non-zombies are worth brains to the zombie community!

Hey! I was in Denver for the zombie crawl too. Both of my children are going to be different variations of zombies tomorrow. I don't get the appeal either. And looking for zombie costumes was a nightmare (he he:lol
There was zombie doctor, zombie punk rocker, zombie everything.

one of the Halloween specials told me that over half of the zombie moves ever made, were made since 9/11/01 - anyone else think its interesting they chose that date to count from...... I digress ♥

I don't know what the appeal is for everyone else.... they had some good theories about "preparing for the worse, so you can be ready for anything".

As for me? I've been in love with zombies since the first time I saw Night of the Living Dead.

But I don't why... something inside me just loves scary movies - which is odd, because they don't scare me

Deep inside people like fear, People love to be wild and scared and wonder what it would be like if real zombies exist. Zombie and vampire movies have made billions of dollars over the years since night of the living dead first came out. Not long ago i watched deadliest warrior on the tv where they put zombies vs. vampires. The match was very close but at the end the vampires won even though there was only one vampire left. I think the idea was a little crazy but it is halloween now and i guess people get ready for the scary holiday of the year. I am sure October 31 is the day when most scary movies are watched. I never truly understood why people could be so fascinated with bigfoot, vampires, zombies, monsters, etc but as i mentioned to begin with is i think deep down people love fear.

The most scary monster on the planet, all other monsters prey on the invividual but Zombies take over the whole Human race.
You can't outrun them cos they keep going and don't need rest, when you do rest you get caged in, you have to kill your loved ones (Infected ones) to survive.

Let the kids have their zombie fun.

its good training.

because when they grow up they will be like the rest of us.

instead of zombies crying for 'brains'
they will be zombies like us, crying 'pay check'

Zombies are the monster du jour.

Ok, shameless thread pimp:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I am no exception to zombie love.

The actual history of zombies is more interesting then modern zombies but then you couldn't explain masses off them.
The original zombies are dead that were raised by voodoo to go do the bidders desires, mostly killing people.

Eating brains is a hollywood invention that I have no problem adopting.

The stories of mummies are similar, and are just a form of zombie. So you can say there has been an obsession with teh raising of the dead for some time.
