So can I ask a question?
Why is it that we have all these absolutely amazing pictures of nebulas and stars and galaxies millions and millions of miles of away....but when it comes to see our own planet from within our own solar system we get two white blurs???????

Can you imagine seeing a time lapse video of the moon orbiting around the Earth from that view?... That would be cool.
Has anyone noticed how close Jupiter has been by the way? It's huuuge. Very big and bright in the night sky currently.

I am also wondering why the 1st photo shows all the stars but the photo taken by Juno just shows a blackboard with 2 little white chalk marks?!!!

They only look that close together because the moon is about to eclipse the earth from that viewpoint.
Think about just mins before the moon is about to eclipse the sun when seen from here on Earth, Its right next to it. That doesnt mean its close to the sun.

This photo can not possibly be showing the scale of the distance between the earth and the moon.
My astronomy is very rusty and over fifty years old but I don't think my numbers are that far off and even if they are the point should still be valid.
The diameter of the earth is what? 8,000 miles?
The distance to the moon is what? A quarter of a million miles?
The distance between the earth and the moon is what? 20-25 earth diameters minimum?
While this may be an actual photo of the earth and the moon it can not be a right angle shot showing the distance to scale.
If it were the moon would be only a few hundred miles away.
