Great thread. You obviously put some time and effort into this. I have studied the subject matter fairly thoroughly and though my verdict on Drunvalo isn't quite in yet, this is very fascinating subject matter.

One little thing though. In all of my studies, I have come to the conclusion that the whereabouts of the 13 skulls are unknown(at least the majority of them.) How are the elders going to retrieve these skulls? Or does the post insinuate that the skulls have been in the possession of the elders the entire time?

Well, it's obvious, isn't it.

The Elders will blow the High Holy Horn and the skulls will have little skeleton legs pop out from underneath.

From there, all they need to do is walk.

Sure, it's a long way, but why should they care? They're skulls, after all.

Of course, it would have to be ancient artifacts made of crystal into skulls, and priests, and ceremonies, and prophecies, and armageddon, and on a specific day.

Now add some drums, firelight, and chanting and you have all the right elements for a good bedtime story.
I think I'll tell this one to my nephew... on the 24th.

Are you guys for real? Stop it already. This is one more in a long line of never ending endings, that have NEVER come true. NOT_A_ONE.
But one more in a long line of distractions from what is really going on in the world. Its just entertainment provided for you to keep you from focusing too much on the worlds problems...
Oh wait, entertainment is cool if it makes us happy. Never mind. Go ahead on.

you people will believe in ancient and primitive cultures that possess the ability to accurately predict the future, but refuse to believe in a God.

Deny ignorance indeed.

I believe in God very mach ..

Maya art from the Classic period also depicts the extraction of children's hearts during the ascension to the throne of the new kings, or at the beginnings of the Maya calendar.
en.wikipedia.org...

So these are the ones that had the understanding of nature and can lead us to a better life?

Even in its maddness the symbology.....a new king and the new time span needs a new heart and thus this literal application. Something profound is being recognized.

I was at the 13 Crystal Skull Ceremony yesterday at Serpent Mound, Ohio. As Hentz Men and the 13 guardians were rounding the head of the serpent with the skulls a huge rainbow appeared out of nowhere over the mound. It was really awesome to see. Also as we were chanting there were butterflies flying around and landing on people. You usually don't see butterflies late October in Ohio. So glad I went!

staged event, hence the props with butterflies (instead of balloons, i guess)...and Laser shows are routine with 'rainbows' that is a new twist....but it was done & nothing was a supernatural event

An Apocalypse (Greek: ἀποκάλυψις apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, i.e. the veil to be lifted.

it wasn't until the 'elites' dreamt up their fairy tales we call religion, that we start getting fear drummed into us--

The Apocalypse of John (Greek Ἀποκάλυψις Ἰωάννου) is the Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament. By extension, apocalypse can refer to any End Time scenario, or to the end of the world in general.

we just have to remember- "a dream we dream alone is just a dream, a dream we dream together is reality"- john lennon

it's down to us to- wecreatethelove.ning.com...

lets not put any energy in to fearful things, and just Love this experience we call life, no matter what the particular experience Mother Nature has in store for us!!!!... Love it,,, and avit!

obviously don't forget to throw into the mix the manipulation by the powers that wanna be!

How can Mayans 2012 prophecy line up with our calender? Isn't it proven that year 0 is wrong and i may be many years off? Did the mayans use the same calender based on Jesus, like we do? Maybe 2012 for them may be 2100 for us?

sorry, I don't believe in fantasy. All I know is that 12-21-2012 is going to be another Friday, just like the Fridays before that. Stupid superstitions, you people believe that magic is going to happen and the world is going to turn upsidedown.

Reincarnation my friend! Of course I have!

lol

That would be the biblicle one.... all 4 of them. wrapped up into one nice neat lil package.

Do you mean "The Flood" that was caused by climate change? The polar ice caps melting and see levals rising.

Nah. Not that one. That's just a misconception. It was actually divine in nature. Really!

Wait... So you're saying that the caps melting and climate change flooded the earth? Why then are we not under water now? Just a thought....

oh yeah... I almost forgot. Surely you cant mean the imaginary melting of the caps cause such a thing! Id need proof. Green card handy? Placenta wallet? Surely, what's good for the goose...

I mean... Since we're demanding proof. There goes all but the last 100 years of history!

YOUR AN IDIOT AND IGNORANT. regardless of whether you were reincarnated or not you have no memory of any past lives and if you do its in your subconscious but nonetheless the fact is you dont know it was supernatural or what caused it or even if there was one. i dont care what argument you try to put up against me in the end il always be right and you will be wrong. when people try to claim biblical things as fact they always make themselves look stupid, no matter what if you ever claim biblical things fact your wrong even if its written you have no proof of knowing that the bible wasnt tampered with so you can be manipulated. sorry buddy you can live in denial the rest of your life but you need to wake up and understand that not everything you perceive with your senses is the truth. take everything with a grain of salt

Your whole post was beautiful and thought provoking. "To be revealed" at a later date? Do you think that Revelations can be interpreted from his symbolism in the text to our real time, our experience today? That what he witnessed and outlined was his difficult description of our times in the modern world?

The Apocalypse of John (Greek Ἀποκάλυψις Ἰωάννου) is the Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament. By extension, apocalypse can refer to any End Time scenario, or to the end of the world in general.

Or maybe the end of our civilization (empire) here now? Another pile of ruins for future archeology to explore?
Any thoughts you might entertain here in this regard would be enlightening.

You got a crapload of stars for stating the obvious and acting as if the world will end on December 21st 2012? Cause that's pretty much what your post revealed, that you stupidly believe this thread is about the world ending with a sarcastic rebuttal to that "jumping the gun and not fully understanding the thread" mentality proving that you'd rather garner stars from other stupid members who didn't read or understand than read and know that the thread is talking about the coincidence of this alignment which is rare apparently.

Nor did you grasp that we could possibly finally understand what these crystal skulls are for and how Mayan Elders perform their rituals by performing them publicly and then talking for 30 minutes, possibly about the meaning of such rituals and the skulls in their culture.

It's a shame the OP didn't get more stars and flags for an interesting thread informing us of things that a lot of people have wondered involving the skulls and Mayan rituals. Also a shame that there are so many idiots willing to give stars out like candy to the first clearly brainless post that attempts to refute the thread without realising it isn't about the world ending.

You moron.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the supposed Mayan Film documentary. ATS Thread

The problem with 2012 is everything about it is a hoax. It would be very exciting if we entered a new age of enlightenment, but there is no evidence for that to happen.

Oh My Goodness! How many times do you guys need to be told that the Mayans are NOT SAYING it is the "end of the world" before it finally gets through your heads????

Thank you for all the info, OP. I saw this article, thought it was very interesting, and I was going to make a thread on it. But I am glad you did it instead of me because you did a much better job than I probably would have - as it would have been my very first thread ever. Thanks!

For those who are not particularly well-versed in the 2012 mythology, could you give a terse synopsis of what the Mayans ARE saying then? Thank you in advance.
