Pssst! Wake up

Imagine for a moment that you're dreaming. You're completely engrossed in the dramas of your dreamworld when a mysterious stranger appears in your dream. He sidles up to you and softly whispers something extraordinary in your ear: "Pssst! Wake up. You're dreaming."

You're disconcerted but keep your cool. You know that the best way to deal with people who are clearly out of the box is to nod politely and hope they will go away. But the stranger is persistent. "I know it sounds crazy to you right now, but you're dreaming."

You feel irritated and say, "That's absurd!"

The stranger is unperturbed: "Is it really absurd? Haven't you noticed how full of significant patterns and strange coincidences your experience is? As if there's some hidden meaning? Well that's because this is a dream."

You're confused. "What do you mean?"

The stranger explains, "Right now you think you're a person talking to me, but that's just who you are temporarily appear to be in this dream. The real you is the dreamer. And this whole dreamworld exists in you.

You feel stunned. "Are you asking me to believe that I'm imagining talking to you? Surely you're not a product of my imagination?!"

The stranger smiles kindly. "The person that you seem to be is not imagining this conversation with me, because that person is a part of the dream. But really, you are the dreamer who is imagining everything and everyone in this dream. We appear to be separate people having a conversation, but actually we're both the dreamer."

You begin to panic: "Now you're freaking me out. I'm losing my hold on who I am." The stranger is reassuring: "Don't worry. You're just beginning to wake up. This is a dream of awakening. It's designed to progressively make you more conscious, until you're conscious enough to realize you're dreaming."

You're confused. "But I don't understand. How do I wake up?"

The stranger looks you straight in the eyes. "You can wake up anytime you want. You simply have to want to wake up more than you fear it. And there's nothing to fear. Waking up feels good. Know that you're dreaming is the secret of enjoying them.

Your anxiety becomes excitement. You want to wake up. And the more you want to wake up, the more you become conscious that you're dreaming. And that feels good. You're no longer frightened of all the terrors that may afflict you in the dream because you know that the real you is safe. Even if the person you seem to be were to die, it would be okay because actually you are the dreamer.

How marvelous!

Overwhelmed with gratitude, you begin to thank the stranger, but he has moved on and is now deep in conversation with someone else, who is looking shocked and intrigued. You call after him, "What now?"

He turns to you briefly and grins. "Enjoy the dream. And help everyone else enjoy it as well, because we are all you."

For a moment you just stand there and let this awesome realization sink in. Then you notice a number of anxious-looking people nearby hurrying about their business fully convinced that they know exactly who they are and what is going on. You smile to yourself, sidle up to one of them, and whisper softly, "Pssst! Wake up. You're dreaming."

And then you wake up in a pod full of warm liquid goo and find out that it's 2199, and aliens have been harvesting your bioelectrical energy and body heat as a source of power; and you just think to yourself "Why didn't I pick the blue pill.....

Just joking man. Very thought provoking story. Maybe its actually true.....

I don't cling too its truth or not truth I merely accept it. Maybe I will never truly understand but I suppose it's just faith or something.

one time I tried to explain to the people in my lucid dream that i was dreaming, but they just smiled and ignored me. They didnt even bother lol

We are all in one beings dream. One source. We need all to awake or enough of us awake to awake the source this freeing all of us. But that was also all a dream. How deep is the rabbit hole? Depends how deep are willing to go?

I'd have to say the best way to define by background is to say my background is as confusing as I am.

However, I dew understand the reason for your question so I will try to help you see the why, without putting you through my biography.

In math class, they have a tendacy to teach formulas but if you can understand the truth of what's going on, you can build your own formula, so there's kNOw kNeed to memorize formulas. Life is kNOw different. If you can understand the truth of what's going on, you can build your own formula and from that you can get the correct answer, at least, most of the time.

It's like kNOW. I kNow that this thing you call Life is an expeiment in Chaos so when I watch the news and see the horrific stories, I giggle because I kNow they're coming and it's only going to get worse before it gets better so why let it get to me, to distract me from what I'm dew'n? That's kNot to say that sum stories don't make me shake my head, they dew but that's like when I walk into the parking lot of a nearby gas station and there's trash scattered everywhere. I shake my head, giggle, and pick it up on my way to the eating/lounging area and the reason I pick it up is because the peeps that werk there are my friends, so I dew it to help them because they have helped me but I will sometimes pick up trash when I don't kNow anyone where the trash is, I just dew it to dew it and sometimes, I will walk right by it and kNot pick it up, even at the store my friends werk at. I am constantly contradicting myself, to remain detached from the illusion of this Matrix, while being attached when I want to be attached.

So in a kNUT, when you understand the truth about sumthing, which means you understand the math of it, you can FORMULATE the answer easily. That's my secret. I dew kNow the truth about this Matrix, as dew others and that's how I can see things others cannot. I'll give you another example:

In the bible, it says, "Even a fool who holdeth his tongue is esteemed wise." A fool is incapable of holding his tongue so when a fool holdeth his tongue, he isn't a fool, he's fooling you. It's one of the greatest tools of espionage, because the #1 spy of all time is the Court Jester.

So that passage in the bible is a Contradiction but kNot many have ever caught it. God's logic is Perfect so the origins of that passage isn't of God but neither is the bible but most refuse to see that. The bible is also kNot of man's creation either.

I am mathematically your worst enemy, yet you do not kNow I exist for that purpose. Who/What am I?

I am only familiar with a few of Jim Carrey's movies, but I can see you enjoy playing the same role he did in Batman Forever, thought this is not my guess.

I am going to venture to say that because your last hint was the "trinity" and being that a trinity contains three components, "Me, Myself, and Irene." Though outside of the three I think this is a weak guess at best. Maybe you can enlighten me and the rest of us what the answer to your riddle is and why its the answer?
