It's a metaphor or an allegory.

It simply means trust in yourself, trust your instincts, trust in what you know is right.

That's what it means pretty much.

Wll my point is:

Didn't think I would have to spell it out.
You cannot see God or touch him, or see him ....so you conclude because your senses cannot perceive God he therefore does not exist. Wind does exist and so does God. You cannot see either one but rest assured they both do exist.

You have to be indwelled by his Spirit before you can hear him.

Though you are not yet able to percieve him, he perccieves you. He knows your heart and your mind. Set aside time each day for Him, and really work to build a relationship. You will get out of it, what you are willing to put into it. God is Spirit, so if you are willing to move forward with the relationship, all your senses will come into play; smell, taste, touch, sight and hearing.

Good luck. And remember God is good and is always on your side. The things you enjoy, He enjoys. When you are happy, he is happy. When you are sad, he is sad. He sticks closer than a brother.

A bunch of Christians are telling me i need to take the word of god seriously and not go towards what others are saying, one problem... I CANT SEE GOD..then how could i possibly hear him? that voice in my head is not god.. its my brain talking with me because i make it talk

God produces your faith. You allow Him to or you keep Him from His work in you. Pride is the key element in the human heart that caused our fall from our first glorified state. Pride represents anything that keeps the self elevated above others. God is one of the others. Listening to God is allowing Him to guide us by the events in our lives. Every step you take will be dictated by a choice. Choices dictate cause and effect. We reap what we sow.

Our only act of action in this world is to think and to move. Other than these two, all external realities are produced for us. Our hair grows, the sun shines, our eyes see and gravity pulls us down. Nothing we do causes any of it. We merely ride the vehicle we are given.

The spirit of God is within you. You are guided by the hidden spirit within. To allow free will, there is also a spirit of darkness which influences us. Apart from the choice between the two spirits, we have no free will.

There is also a veil over the temple. In the Bible, the veil covered the most holy place where God resides. This is an allusion to the mind of man. The veil is there to keep us from duplicity. If we knew that God was there and could hear and see Him, we would live apart form free choice. The veil keeps us from duplicity. If we seek the supreme good of God for reward, then we are really after our own good. If we seek the supreme good of God to avoid judgment, we are also after our own good. This is duplicity. Although we have knowledge of these realities, we can never know as fact. Faith is the evidence we possess. Faith is not fact and cannot be if we are to live apart form forced duplicity.

The reason you can only see and hear God from His word is because He can only be sensed from the spirit. The more humble and loving you are to others, the more the spirit is able to cut away your pride with the flaming sword of God's consuming spirit. Genesis 3 states that the tree of life is protecting by the flaming sword. Unless the sword cuts away your pride, you will not experience God. Once pride is removed, the sword has done its job and the tree of life is open to you. John 3 states this by saying that you can be born again into the spirit. Luke 10 tells the process. Love God and love others--even enemies.

Secondly: why do "angels" need wings if they are spiritual and can float?

All these are symbols of what they represent. Wings signify ability to move about in heaven. Flesh and blood cannot traverse the heavens apart from taking the heavens with them. We cannot go into space without earth around us.

Thirdly: where do these so called angels go if the clouds disappear? do they fall down to earth or what? because ive flown inside a cloud and there is no one there...

They are in the spirit realm. Is WIFI around you now? Do you see or sense it? Yet, it's there.

Fourthly: why are Christians trying to convert everyone? a small Christian group said we need a new holiday that replaces halloween...and they say halloween is the devils day.. they say we need to create "Jesus-ween".. where they dress up in white and hand out bibles.

Have you see how men treat each other around the world? Love is the key to peace. Love is only found when the heart is changed.

If god said i was going to hell then id probably receive a message from him saying that..so far there is nothing.

Ask. Knock and the door is opened.

As far as im concerned the bible was created by man...no recorded god wrote the bible

A "bunch of Christians" would be the last source of wisdom that I would seek. From their own mouth they tell you not to listen to "others". Aren't they "others" as well?

Secondly: why do "angels" need wings if they are spiritual and can float?

Harps, halos, and white bathrobes too. That is 15th century church interpretation of what angels look like.

Thirdly: where do these so called angels go...

They don't hide anywhere, they are all around and on this planet. We just don't see them unless they "allow" that.

Fourthly: why are Christians trying to convert everyone?

Because they feel better thinking that they know the truth, unlike others. So they have to convince you of their dogma to prove it..

As far as im concerned the bible was created by man...

See you know more than some others already. How do you know that? You realized it right? It came to you?Thats how "god" works. You think you are doing the thinking...

Take heart. I can see you are seeking the truth and it is revealing itself to you as you go. You have the foremost requirement for finding the truth about any thing; an open mind. _javascript:icon('

Jesus-ween LOLOL.... really? See what I mean? Religulous.

No idea what Y/A is but you tar all with the same brush because of one one aspect/element? Is that not a little sweeping? It would be like me saying I hate all Christians because of the Jehovah's Witnesses, or Mormons or ________ add your sect here.

Halloween by the way is not a holiday, at least not a religious one. It is a shortened version of All Hallows Eve, or the Eve of All Saint's Day. The religious holiday is All Saint's Day. The fact that it has been commandeered by the commercial world does not make it satanic - or maybe it does

The wings of angels are more of status. If you look at different angels, they have different wings depending upon which task they are assigned to. Also, angels live higher than Earths atmosphere, not in the clouds..

There would probably be a large number of Angels getting sucked into the Jet Engines of Planes is they lived up in the clouds.

the ancient world is full of Gods and Beings with wings I imagine the idea just got recycled and rebranded during the middle ages.

Isis

Nike

icarus

Angels are not bound by the physical. So fire, a gun, airplanes, etc. won't have an effect on them.

im sorry i still dont understand... but if god is a spirit then how did he create the universe? spirits cannot do that stuff

How do you know spirits cannot do that? Humans are flesh and still can't create anything natural. They can only take the natural and manipulate it to cause a spiritual understanding from it.

Love and hate are both spiritual understandings. They are expressed by action, but the emotion itself is spiritual. Your parents, through a natural act, procreated you, a spiritual being wrapped in flesh. But they only did an act. Their act was motivated by a spiritual thought.

So how do you know spirits cannot? And are you 100% sure you have never seen an angel? The images of angels we have come from the middle-ages. But the Bible says we entertain angels unaware. So you right now, cannot say you have never seen an angel, you have seen beings that you want to believe are natural. But you have no way of proving that every being you have ever seen is human.

Lots of opinions here, but here is the straight and skinny:

Read your Bible, and avoid most modern versions, as most are corrupted. Get one with a single-column format, minimal chapter and verse notations, and less notes. It will read more like books you are used to. My recommendations would be the Ferrar Fenton for Old Testament, The Holy Bible in Modern English and the Andy Gauss New Testament, The Unvarnished New Testament. If you are comfortable with Elizabethan English, by all means read the KJV.

At some point, begin to pray, and when the time comes, and you are ready, and understand what you are doing, formally dedicate yourself to Christ, and get baptized. Do not neglect to find a Bible-study group, in church or out of church, made up of caring people for whom their beliefs make a difference in their lives.

With that done, learn to pray deeper by emptying yourself of yourself. This may take fasting, or pouring yourself out emotionally until you are empty. It worked for me, for God spoke to me directly on at least two occasions.

Lastly, be patient, and that's OK, because that is one of the character qualities God wants in you.
