Are you asking me to feel sympathy for people that will knowingly endanger themselves and others to prove that they still don't know where to protest or even who to protest?

Sorry, no sympathy for stupid.

I would feel sympathy for them if they were planted in front of the Provincial Parliment building, but they wouldn't be outside as Parliment routinely lets small protests take place in the lobby during winter.

However, I am thinking you might be right. Me texting them from Bali would be a good idea!

When more cannot afford to heat their homes, more will come out.

Wonder what a sudden catastrophic rise in oil and gas prices would do to already stretched budgets.

Such as what would happen if a certain Muslim Brotherhood gained control of the Suez Canal and severely restricted it's access.

Then oil dependent countries would have to choose to go to war, which would still raise the price of these commodities.

But who knows right?

Valley Forge?

Really?

Has our US History been DUMBED down so profoundly that the iPhone4S texting and Tweeting; having a charging station for their Mac; being fed by gourmet chefs (when they are not on 'brown rice only' lets get the REAL homeless outta here days); wearing Columbia insulated jackets in 'military grade tents' (HEY WHERE WAS ALL THIS STUFF PURCHASED??? IN THE FREE, CAPITALIST MARKET???) really THINK they compare to the hardships faced by TRUE revolutionaries at Valley Forge the Winter of 1777/1778.

en.wikipedia.org...

Volunteer soldiers DIED; true hypothermia (no heated office buildings or NYParamedics on standby) took lives and limbs. Food was scare if at all. In that day, the 'soldiers' had one pair of shoes (probably homemade); one pair of stockings, pants. Wool was a LUXURY. And yet...

With cable news 'watching' our 'suffering huddled masses await donated Almondine Fish with New Potatoes (organic...of course).

Maybe OWS should use alittle of their collective laptop battery lives and LEARN actual, US history.

Between Tweets of course.

Times were more barbaric then, thus the suffering was more barbaric.

This day and age, with all that we have learned from history, must we really insist that great change come with great suffering?

Look forward, not behind.

Your Brother
