What Do You Like About ATS

I joined ATS at the end of this last April. I have had a wonderful time! I like the fact that ATS is available globally.

I like the diversity of forums. I love the debating sessions with other members. I like the fact that we can (agree to disagree) and still get along.

I really like too ...that when a member has a problem....and posts a thread about it....how many members are there with advice and a valid caring attitude....they give their moral support with a dose of generosity. I love that!

I really like the fact that the members on ATS....are awake and aware and willing to learn and grow.

I love the ancient history forum, it always brighten my days with all the cool finds that are coming out theses days.

Also alternative news from around the world, i cancelled my cable television, so i can get so many more perspectives on the news, well the ones i can read eheh

For me its the wonderful information you folks show up with here. The odd conspiracy theories are also great, even though I don't agree with most of them.

The info here is great! Sometimes...we get the information before it is ever broadcast by the MSM.

It will save me 720$ and change to have no tv servie int he house, my kids are still young enough to not have put up a fight> And its 800 plus change for my kids ski school eheh

I like how i dont feel so alone in my thoughts anymore.. knowing that around the world there is people that feel the way i do.. make me feel a little saner LOL... if that is at all possible now adays

Yes I agree.. having ATS does help with our budgets....it is affordable to all!

What a wonderful point! I am ill right now and home a lot....and I really like the fact that ATS helps me not to feel so alone too.

You can find all kinds of ideas and opinions on virtually ANY subject... It's thought provoking. The other thing is the people...some of the smartest (with a few exceptions :lol ....I have made some great friends here!

I have noticed since I have joined ATS...that my mind has expanded......I look more now at all the possibles.....

i like being able to have full size avatars.
also it helps me feel a little less insane when i cant sleep at night.

it gives me something to click at when I got nothing else to click at


ok yeah, I agree, its also an interesting source of info - it was constantly coming up on Google searches that brought me here - when I realized how often I was reading ATS, I figure it was time to just sign up

I have been a member here for over two years.I have my family
and my ATS family.There are many members that I love,dislike,
worry over,grief over,taunt,tease and torment.
I have offered bribes and rewards that have never been taken up
on...baking cookies.
I like that ATS has eyes all over the globe and news sometimes
gets posted here first before msm.

i like the adrenalin rush, the explosions, theme music, booze, guns, flying a russian gunship into a taco bell drive thru, living next to the griffins, even though peter keeps stealing my ducati.

It has been a real education for me on ATS, I never knew much about American politics and strength of feeling for your constitution, you have no choice on here but to pick up some information. I mean very very few people in the UK have ever heard of Ron Paul.

Most of my friends would be considered liberal, so I had never really been exposed to many conservative view points before, which I have found really interesting.

I like the majority of my fellow Brits on this board, many of whom have taught me a little more about my own country. There seems to be a stronger kinship between us even if our politics may differ.

Hope he doesn't mind me linking his profile, but I recommend reading his threads. Our politics are very different, but he is a formidable mind, one I learnt not to get into too much of debate with. I only lose.

I like the fact that ATS is my own little secret that nobody else i know knows about.

Exactly! The same with me.....I found people who think the same as I do, but most importantly, I found people who do NOT. This causes me to look into subjects more deeply, and learn new ways of looking at things. I joined during the BP oil disaster.....and I didn't know ANYTHING about oil production ( I was like "What the hell is a BOP and a ROV?:puz Now.....I could sit down with someone who works on an oil rig and have a coversation with no problems!!

MamaBeth......you offered to bake someone cookies and they didn't take take you up on it??? Just so you know, I LOVE cookies See....this is why I love this site. Where else can you read that the world is coming to an end in 2 days AND have someone offer to bake you some cookies to cheer you up?!
