I am an English citizen and I have yet to see anything of this nature so openly being played on British news, maybe there was something in the past but the way they document this, worries me, the way its being processed to those listening. This following video shows what I am talking about.

Now I understand there has been topics discussed here in the past about America and other conspiracies spoke about population and its size but seeing this on TV and its getting more regular, each news bulletin seems to have a snippet of this in the past 2-3 days now.

Now we can all argue whether the world is becoming more and more pushed to its limits, well, we could say that, or we could say the business model doesn't work, the business model doesn't reach out to those to far for business. I mean, you can't grow food yourself, obviously not, your only human after all.

Yea, yea. I see some of you are thinking. ''You have to think about the standard of life, the standard of life has to be decent''. Well all a human really needs is water and food, the rest are just products of our environment.

So my problem here is, what is the message they are trying to convey here?

Interesting.... What you think.

I don't see what all of the fuss is about.
Today 6.99 billion.
Tomorrow 7 billion.
It's just a number.

People seem to think its about space Ie. the amount of room we have to occupy, but its not its about resources we are currently out living our planet.

I seen on TV on QI link that we will be short on protein by the year 2030.

If we run out of protein what will we do?

We are also running out of helium too...

www.independent.co.uk...

People think this is nonsense but look at Africa, hey have basically nothing to sustain themselves, we have already started to give them some of ours but what happens when we run out?

Our aim should not be merely to survive, but to live well. Food and water does not cut it. Not to mention that these two are in short supply, too.

I dont think there is any message beyond informing about 7 billion humans.

It's not resources of production... IMO it's distribution.

BTW, I dont believe it's 7 billion; they said 5 are born a sec and 2 die per second...
What about the 400 that were born in 1 second and only that 1 that died that minute?

We cannot all be documented, I mean no one knows how many in the U.S right now. No one.

I don't see that happening any time soon.
There is plenty of wildlife. Wildlife that multiplies as fast as us.
It's scare tactics! A reason for people to accept fake protein.

This is the second time today I'll be mentioning this thread, but for totally different reasons.
Pianopraze wrote one of the better threads I've ever followed on ATS, and you won't regret the scan.
There's something to be said for "live" mediums, and current ones, but on this board I think some of the best posts and threads are buried in the recent histories. (You know what they say about history : You remain a child until you look into what happened historically). The Eugenics movement was an impressing factor in society in the early portion of ... last century. It feels strange saying that.

Gaga and Beyonce Telephone: mind control, eugenics & overpopulation, poisoning the world through GMO
www.abovetopsecret.com...

My personal contention is that the world could easily support 45 billion, if the corruption and over-governance was cleaned up. Seven billion is not a daunting statistic to me. There's another, older thread based on aquaponics, in which they grew a million pounds of food per year on only three acres. Not much fun for the fish grown in such tight circumstances (quite inhumane actually), but proof regardless that we can sustain ourselves.

Nuts are a great source ... grow more orchards? As for helium, that might take some figuring. Where there's a will, there's a way.

7 billion is only an estimation.
Of course, No one could count for EVERY human being on Earth.

Yeah but as we consume the wild life, remove there natural habitat (building city's) and they become extinct, the protein is going down...

As mush as I hate China, they have already turned to eating insects to sustain they bulging population, they have even went as far as forcing abortion's, China as much as I hate it maybe the world's future...

You can fit the entire worlds population in one county in Florida.

Palm Beach Fla. 2578 sq miles=71,870,515,200 sq feet
World population =6,697,254,041

71,870,515,200 sq foot divided by 6,697,254,041 Wld pop.

10.73 sq foot for each person to stand in.

Thats just one county in Florida.

I'd hate to live there.

An area the size of virginia could provide 2lbs of food per day for 7 billion people.

Helium is a currently "thought" to be a non renewable source.

But the earth was once flat as they say...

I actually started a thread today that coincides with yours.
A New Look At Seven Billion

As I said in that thread, the problem is not necessarily, at least at this point, overpopulation.
But rather, exactly where this population is exploding.

The poorer a country, the less education.
The less education, the more children they have.
The more children they have, the higher the population rises.
The higher the population density in these countries, the poorer everyone becomes.

I agree, but even if we perfected distribution I still think we are out living our resources, in the future I can easily see us mining the moon and asteroids and other planets.

I thought the Chinese have always eaten insects? LOL
No doubt that we might have a shortage of protein down the line.
I wouldn't expect it to happen in the next 100 years though.

Correct. There is already more than enough food and water for everyone on this planet, and much left. The problems are with distribution.

Simply producing more will not solve anything. This includes all those fancy hydroponics ideas, resources from space and other misguided efforts to alleviate overpopulation.

Evolution dictates that a population's reproductive potential is essentially unlimited, the limiting factor is food supply. We humans are unlike any other species we have ever studied. We have the power and technology to make due with smaller and smaller amounts of resources but we will always need a certain amount. When our population reaches a certain point, we will be forced into war to get everyday supplies such as food and water, and millions of people will starve to death. But hey don't listen to any of this, I mean Jesus is coming to save us right? Why should we Care? Well probably because Jesus doesn't exist and chances are that governments are going to fall apart and there will be massive chaos. We need to control our population before we deplete our resources and thus end the age of mammals

Its all fun and games with abundant oil. But when it begins to run out and an entire production and distribution chain begins to crumble, every billion of humans that was brought to this world fueled by oil may very well turn into a billion dead bodies.

Quality over quantity.

Perfect example of what I was getting at.

Its the lack of humans looking after themselves and making the effort to produce their own food and resources. This isnt a huge problem because if worst comes to worst and things run out, people who sell things to help grow foods, will make money and more will learn to grow there own foods.

Its basically a little satanic for the news to say such things on TV. As if we are mere numbers and the numbers don't fit into there business calculators for what is simple for them.

People I urge you all to start looking into growing your own foods and understand how to purify things like water. You benefit from it hugely.

In the next 20 years the population will hit 9 billion and oil will be running low then that is when we will start to feel to over population. People don't understand that population growth has decreased in the last 13 years but the numbers will keep growing. I know its around 1% maybe a little less. All the people in the world could fit in rhode island fill a area that size with 40-50 story building and there would be room for more. But i think that many humans in one spot would suck the O2 out of the air and the city center might sufficate the key word is might.
