And this is different than any other Goverment or Organization in the world? On one post we have people talking about our government and how it secretly eliminates it's citizens who threaten it's way lies. And on another post we condem other governments for doing it in the open?

I call this list nothing more than dictator propaganda.

If things were SO great in Libya, what the heck were the million+ people protesting? Don't tell me they were all actors / actresses paid by the US because that is utter crap. We may have started the spark, but we certainly didn't set the whole thing ablaze. Nope, those were Libyans, out in the street, wanting change.

I don't know, but last year an ex-libyan I worked with who moved to the USA and became a citizen told me she regretted everything about moving and was sure in her words that her old home was a much better place, but she refuses to go back only because we have women's rights here. For a man, Libya probably is an amazing place to live.

Uhh but ok, anyway the people who just took over Libya are hardcore islamists anyway and probably won't make things better.

Not a bad way to rule for a despot - nationalize the oil industry, retain all profits for yourself and dole them out as trinkets to keep the populace on your side, like a Roman emperor.

unlike america, if you're a friend, you get corporate tax breaks, unlimited theft entitlement, no prosecution from the law and if you oppose, you might as well be dead, because you'll be a poor schmuck making $42,000 a year, debt thru the eyeballs and a house that corporate executives are holding strategy meetings on how to liberate from your possession.

and if you're a real pain in the butt, they'll take that get out of jail free card and prosecute you till you're broke and doing 45 years in a maximum security federal institution.

So this is really interesting but I'm curious as to where this 'source' came from.
I don't understand, somebody posting an article on a site and a youtube video doesn't confirm it's legitimacy.

I posted another source on the first page. It is really easy to find this information if you google it, and there is this information on trusted sources.

Why is it so hard to believe that this man is not the devil? Are people that brainwashed by western media that they cannot believe anything that contradicts it?

How many governments have given the order to kill innocent people? Hell Obama just assassinated a US citizen not to long ago, not to mention all the innocents that have died in the wars that he has kept going, why is he or other presidents not held in the same light?

Pred...

Because I'm a man of observation, not a man of speculation.
I find this news interesting, though at the same time the argument can be used against you: "is it so hard to find something to prove it's legitimacy?"
It's not that I'm not willing to believe, it's that I want proof before I go posting this around various other forums that are skeptics.

Calling me brainwashed is a bit harsh don't you say?
Also your last statement is irrelevant.

EDIT:
That's one source and when I study the link there is nothing else to confirm these allegations nor is it a reputable website.

Wow.... Are the Libyans in for the shock of their lives. They whacked Gaddafi to supposedly gain freedom and a better life. They did this by inviting in NATO, the Euro Powers and American Intelligence. If that list in the OP is accurate, they are going to rue the day to the end of time someone sold them the bill of goods that their new life would be BETTER.

Of course...I'm having a hard time entirely accepting that list is accurate. That is so close to Utopia to my way of thinking, I'd have looked at immigration if they could have given me a fiber internet connection to put the cherry on my cake.
There had to be some catches or fine print to that whole concept that just kicks the life out of it.

Where do the sources for your 16 points come from? Apart from that video and his green book, neither are particularly good sources. I'd like to read up on the information.
I do believe that Gaddafi wasn't as bad as they say though.

S & F Pred!

I can't believe so few knew these stats as facts

Only now he is dead people are looking into who he really was, Laughable if you ask me

These 16 points have not just been made up, these are Facts!!

How can anyone not like this man's ideal's?

A quote from Gaddafi's green book!

Book Two: The second volume, “The Solution of the Economic Problem: Socialism,” was published in 1978. It calls for the end of a wage- and rent-based economy, to be replaced by self-employment or economic partnerships. “Wage-earners are but slaves to the masters who hire them,” Qaddafi writes. The solution? “The ultimate solution lies in abolishing the wage-system, emancipating people from its bondage and reverting to the natural laws which defined relationships before the emergence of classes, forms of governments and man-made laws. These natural rules are the only measures that ought to govern human relations.”

I noticed the same thing whilst working in various former soviet republics, the people really resented having to pay heavily for services such as gas, electricity and housing which were free to all under soviet rule, they also mourned the loss of guaranteed work for all.
Still as long as the US is happy with the way the world's going eh?

Reading whats on offer(Or was on offer) over there and after watching the video, thats 10 times better than the welfare system we have in the UK! Hopefully all the illegal immigrants staying/coming here(The UK) will be pestering Lybian immigration in the future eh? Then again i dont see the next Lybian administration(NWO puppets) keeping the system that Muammar Gaddafi had in place.

Free electricity!!!! If the UK had this type of service avalible to the residential populace it might well get them out of the financial doom we(normal UK citizens) are currently facing, just a thought eh?

There was no true freedom in Libya. Colonel Gaddafi BANNED dissidence in the 1970's. Public executions of political dissidents were common. Talking about politics with foreigners would put you in jail. In 2010, libya was ranked 163 out of 170 countries in terms of its press freedom. Gaddafi assassinated dozens of dissidents who fled the country over the past 40 years.

All of the money and wealth in the world means nothing if you're not free. It's like allowing your slaves to live in opulence while not allowing them to disagree or to be diverse in their views.

Furthermore, Gaddafi and his relatives (and friends), in general, lived in luxury, while many, specially in the east, lived among rats and rags. Gaddafi also had many racist views which were cast onto the country as a whole. For example, he despised the Berbers and rallied against them.

In many ways, his rule mirrors Hitler's in its loftiness and one-party nature. They have much in common that goes beneath the surface. It's no surprise that, in an interview, Gaddafi refers to "the final solution." I wonder if anybody whispered in his ear at the time that Hitler had said something similar? Maybe Gaddafi would have felt complimented?

As well, Gaddafi, in The Green Book, parrots socialism as the answer to most problems. (Mein Kampf, anyone?) It was required reading for all Libyans - for their benefit, naturally. This shows you where his true interests lie. Not in freedom, but in control. That's what he wanted.

By not allowing people to be different, Gaddafi removed their soul from them.

There is someone else that gives you wealth but takes your soul. That person is the devil.

I simply do not understand how such a man was capable of so many humanitarian efforts AND atrocities.

SOMEbody ain't tellin' the truth, here.

But, I DO know this - we, the United States of America:
1) are conquering the world, and leaving our military forces, in every nook and cranny, and
2) have been caught, regularly, propagandizing our media & news
...just like some other 'Evil Empire' within the last century.

Hmmmm...
