10/25/11 Daily Temperature

Do you think Ron Paul was a hypocrite for supporting millions in earmarks for his district?

Go there and vote if you have an opinion one way or another.

Mark Levin

Look for Notes of Interest > The Daily Temperature Poll.

Mark Levin is a renowned Constitutional lawyer and scholar, and his audience is mainly composed of conservatives and Independents.

Interesting because he actually voted against those bills with those earmarks.

This is twisted out of context to portray it as if he voted yes on them, which he didn't.

He only stated that he supported the earmarks because if they are going to pass this garbage legislation than he might as well try to get some of it back for the residents of the country.

But he did in fact vote no on those bills.

That's the point. He is like Claude Rains shouting "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"
[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]

One of the funniest scenes in Casablanca.

But it reveals both men to be hypocrites.

I would not say it is a bogus poll. If I was answering the question exactly how it is written, I would also answer yes. The problem here is the question is being asked with absolutely no context.

Knowing the context in which the question is being asked makes all the difference in the world in this case.

Absolutely. It is, after all, a daily poll question with no context or anything behind it. Something to do while passing the time. But it does measure the 'temperature' at a given moment. We are, after all, a soundbite society.

I just took a poll - NOT the one that is topic of the thread - and I can't say which one b/c I have to agree not to disclose - but it was a major poll - I will say that - and it asked me who I'd vote for. Now the survey had been going fine but the minute I said RP it crashed and I got a message that to continue, I'd have to reload the page, but that my data from the page may not be saved.

Come on. You know?

well I'll be...

Wouldn't be surprised if some of these 'pollsters' pick and chose their polling options. Did they really? we'll never know, will we...
