how strange , the same comet that was terrorising lots of people in the past 9 or so months and tens of threads were made about with lots of conspiracies has now become a joke ?

Can someone explain how a non solid but gas or liquid travels with velocity? Or is this just some Static moving around off course ?

All of the mass of Elenin had momentum. Even after it breaks up into pieces, those pieces and that gas and dust still have the same momentum they had before -- I mean, what would slow it down?

Consider this: Most comet nuclei area only about 5-10 km in diameter, but the dust cloud surrounding the comet (called the 'coma') could be as large as Jupiter -- or even as large as the Sun. Even though that coma is just a large and diffuse ball of gas and dust given off by the nucleus, the particles in that coma still have the momentum of the comet nucleus from where they came.

Of course it isnt gone. Elenin conspiracists will be here till the last molecule in it has gone. Even then, it may have developed hidden cloaking powers

We enter the debris field on November 1 and will likely be in that field until November 5.

Funny because it is still ELE-nin regardless of its size or composition considering neither of those were ever told truthfully to us!

Nope, Elenin crosses the earth orbital plane markedly above, we will never go through the trajectory of the orbital path of said distinguished extinguished comet. It crossed our orbital plane inside our orbit, so below on one side above on the other.

Dark blue means below, light blue means above. Not even close.

gas, liquid, or solid: it is all matter and if it has velocity imparted to it by some means, then it remains so until stopped. You've heard of inertia right?

If you adhere to the gravity theory of the cosmos, then since the comet spewed these gasses as it was 'warmed" by the sun they (these gases) maintain the same trajectory (tho not the same momentum : less mass = less momentum) as the comet. And since there are no other forces at play (its all electrically neutral , right?...right?) and no 'medium' to pass thru, the gasses follow the expected path.

If you adhere to the electric theory of the cosmos, then there are many more questions and possibilities... did the CME neutralize Eleinin so that it no longer attracted free ions? or is ionic matter thin in the inner system and the comet won't accumulate (note : accumulate, not produce) a large coma until it reaches Jupiter's orbit? The coma is gone! Can we actually image the nucleolus then?

Watching the behavior of this celestial body will help us to decide between these two competing theories.

Do you want to know how we can be 100% positive that it's above the ecliptic? The remnants were viewed from the Northern Hemisphere. For that to be true it would to have crossed the ecliptic plane, which the JPL diagram shows us it did about a month ago. Even if that wasn't the case the most we would get from Elenin would be a meteor shower. So stop trying to fearmonger with this comet. It never posed a threat and now it's dead. Not to mention that it's already passed perigree so it can only get farther and farther away.

You know as well as I do that the ELEtards relied completely on the JPL diagram. Of course if part of it doesn't match their preconceived theory then that one part of the diagram is wrong while the rest remains 100% accurate even though it says right on it that for accurate predictions one must use Horizons.

I will once again mention Halley's Comet. In 1911 Halley's Comet was making a close-approach. It was determined that Earth would be passing directly through its tail. Around this same time it was also determined that Halley's Comet contained cyanogen gas. The same gas in Elenin. Now of course you had your fearmongers claiming it was the end of the world and your con men trying to make money off the claims of the doomsayers. In the end we passed through Halley's tail and no one died from cyanide poisoning.
