Dublin,Ireland - 1 months rain in 6 hours Today. Major flooding

This this afternoon Dublin City has gotten a months rain in 6 hours leading to local agencies declaring extreme emergency situation.
Further rain is forecast over night.
Excessive building during our boom Celtic Tiger years has no doubt played a major part in this event.

Yikes! Send some of that rain to Texas. We've had 2 inches of rain in a year.

hopefully it is not going to affect that many people and also you. Floods are one of the worst things around so I guess it’s better to live on a hill and if not move all your electrical and personal belongings upstairs so they do not get damaged if further things happened.

If it were Guinness we'd drink it but alas it's water.

This is the first really bad flooding in years. Dublin has exploded with new and badly planned building developments during this time and now the bad planning decisions are being seen for the first time.

That is a lot of rain and the videos capture just how much water it actually is! Stay away from electrical objects during the floods - so I wonder why those girls were in the lift when the place was flooding???
