Man, I wonder if it has any radiation within it? Even if not, it sounds pretty foul and yea, I hope someone addresses it before it reaches Hawaii or
mainland. Is it the only debris pile out there? So who is responsible for cleaning it up and the costs? Or I should say who will volunteer to clean
it up? It would be a costly endeavor for sure, especially if it is contaminated with radiation.

ETA: Out of curiosity I wanted to compare 20 m tons to the 'plastic island' we heard about floating around in the ocean, the size of Texas, and it is
estimated to be 5 to 10 million tons, so this is double that, granted plastic is lighter than this debris, but still 20m tons is a lot!
