according to above yt author & comments:

previous 10/2010 estimate of 175m was changed sometime on 10/20/2011 or 10/21/2011 to 200m

on NASA or JPL, it is now 400m for the past month or so.

Nov 5 dollar & banks collapse. 'riot day' all savings useless. $ no longer circulated.

Nov 9 martial law day, and/or mind control eas test.

Nov 11 hoover dam, eq's, tsunamis,
occupy becomes roundup
over half the world pop washed away or destroyed
no economy. no food. no medecine
nuclear fallout worldwide
fire in the sky= yu55, moon or us?
best of luck. be safe

^ worst case scenario or impossible? you tell me! thx

People love saying that these harmless comets and asteroids will just glide safely by us. Most of the time that is true. This one is coming between the Earth and moon at 0.8 LD away, and I can confirm that Spaceweather has changed it from 175m to 200m in the past day or 2.

How does the Earth have the ability to capture something as big as our moon, at 1 LD away, yet these smaller objects never become new moons?

I know we capture small objects, but I'm talking about large enough to be naked eye visible. Some will say it's the moon's gravity combined with ours that captured it.... bs. If Earth can capture 2000 mile diameter objects, it can capture everything smaller than that.

It seems you missed the most important part of the video "Nothing to go bonkers about ,keep an eye out, be safe"
Still not scared *snip*less ,keep trying

YU55 is going to be over 200,000 miles away from the earth. If anything it will be a nice light show. The other stuff might happen and it might not. This thread should be in Dreams and Predictions.
I do hope everyone is safe though, and if I'm wrong then so be it, people should all stay prepared just in case, but don't let the doom and gloom set in just yet.

That is strange i didn't notice the change. anyone know what time it will fly by? If its at night it would be a sick light show if it hits the moon.

indeed!

time seems to fly these days, and we'll know in just about 2 weeks what does go down.

i wonder what time window yu55 will be visible from USA, compared to what time the National Emergency Broadcast will be aired on 9-11??

When did Youtube become a valid source of anything? All I see is youtube-based threads these days. Is our attention span so short we can't read articles anymore?

This could be an interesting thread, but I refuse to watch videos of some random youtuber interpreting data in such a way that he'll attract viewers.

No offence to OP, but youtube-threads should automatically get a [youtube]-tag so I can skip them.

On topic: I remember this other comet a month ago which was heavily hyped on youtube and it disintegrated. Henceforth: I will discard any other youtubecomets. If there was anything credible to this the OP would've given me something to read, rather than watch.

The moon used to be much closer to the earth a few billions years ago. Its moving further away each year by 3.8 centimeters. The prevailing theory is that the moon was created by a major collision with Earth by a small planet and the material ejected from that collision became the moon. NASA has been using lasers to accurately measure the distance since the 1970s.

That "prevailing theory" is harder to believe than the Earth being only 5000 years old and Noah really putting 2 of every species on his ark, including all species of spiders, ants, cockroaches, flies, etc.

It's actually kind of mentally retarded to conclude that that is the best theory to use as the moon's origins. Why hasn't Saturn's rings become a moon by now? It rubble in space orbiting it, shouldn't it become a moon or planet by their "science"?

The point is that the Earth didn't capture the moon. Even if the moon wasn't ejected from the Earth, its the gravity of both that keep it in orbit. The Earth will not capture YU55 and it will pass by. If I'm wrong and it becomes an orbiting object I will come back to this thread and admit to being wrong.

Glad someone knows that for a fact, have you told NASA this, or is this what they told you? Last I heard they were still scratching their heads on that one.

How about just posting the original source of the video, not a version edited/manipulated for youtube?

The OP stated that there has been recent changes in this asteroids size and yes, according to Spaceweather.com there in fact has. However, the JPL database has always stated 400m ever since it was first spotted in December of 2005.

No, it was taught to us back in a high school science class. About 20 years ago when they still taught critical thinking. Before the No Child Left Behind policy.

Did someone at NASA tell you they were still scratching their heads over that one?

If the Earth caught the moon then why is it moving away from us instead of towards us? Wouldn't everything that has passed by within the moon's proximity be orbiting the planet as well?

The moon was either from mass ejecting off the earth from a massive collision or made from the same space dust earth was made from.

when a star goes super nova it creates many heavier elements from the extreme heat and is thrown deep into space, eventually this will create a nebula. in this nebular stars and planets are born from various elements being pulled together.
it is beleived that our sun is a 3rd generation star. (not sure how they can know this)
thats about right but i'm no scientist.

anyhoo, if YU55 comes that close, where will the moon be on that date and time?

OR... maybe the moon was put there, maybe? Critical thinking involves all possibilities no matter how improbable. It's perfectly round, for the most part. It makes little to no sense that ejected materials from a collision of planetary bodies would cause a solid mass large moon like we have.
I think it is moving away from the Earth slowly because the Earth is speeding up in it's rotation, as the resonant frequency of the Earth has increased in the past 20 years, I don't know prior measurements before the increase.

If the moon was put there by collision, I'd assume it would look more like the asteroid belt around the Earth than no space rocks at all really, just one big round moon that fits perfectly over the sun during an eclipse. Rrrrright.
