Politics in this country has sank to the level of crappy reality TV.

(Some) politicians get paid tons of money to say and do whatever they are told to (basically they're actors), have pointless little arguments that are a waste of time yet get attention, and do whatever they can to boost their support (ratings), even if that means lying and flip-flopping.

Did he walk off of stage? No he didn't. So whatever your reason to hate Ron Paul, I don't see how you can twist this one around. He simply was stating his feelings on it.

Where did this person say that they hate Ron Paul?

Also, it's quite early in the debates. The fact that he even considered walking off the stage to me, shows that he does in fact not have to fortitude to see the debate process through to election time.

What you are missing is an excellent point that this person brought up. Would he feel the need to walk out on official business if elected?

This is insight into his mindset, which is very child like in my opinion.

I don't hate they guy, I am just stating my feelings on it!!!!

If your idea of official business is acting like a couple of 11 year old girls insulting each other and pandering their "image" then my answer would be YES,, walk away from people who dop not take this seriously. They are idiots and obviously self serving.

Ignore their talking points and listen to them fight like emelentary school children.
It shames us all for even considering people like that for the oval office..

Do you want them representing YOU on the world stage acting like that?

I know one thing.. I would hate to see emotionally unstable children like Romney and Perry with their fingers on the button... one instance of anger and they lose their ability to act and speak like an adult.

What does an ADULT do when children are fighting and try to pull the adult into the argument?
They walk away.
Ron Paul is the only ADULT on that stage.

What people are forgetting is soon Ron Paul is gone within a year if he wins the potus or retires from congress pay attention folks.

Paul should have left bet half the audience would have gotten up and walked out to there was no excuse for grown men to act like children that is not what you want to see in a presidential candidate or a potus that is one step away from pushing the nuclear football.

Paul wins the presidency we hope he doesn't he is on record for retiring.

With due respect, could you please reword this so I can better comprehend it? I want to understand your message but I can't. Honest.

The down side with the comparison of American Idol (or any other survival themed reality show) to the Republican debates, is that no one is getting voted off.

Quoted for truth.

Ron Paul is the only candidate in whom I have ANY confidence. If He's not elected, you can stick a fork into our Great Republic - coz it's DONE.

When I watched the debate, the one word which came to my mind, which doesn't break the T&C's, is that Cooper is a sissy.

He was in over his head. He was scared. didn't know how to handle all the egos on the stage, and it showed. That debate was a disgrace.

Frustrating when posters don't use basic punctuation, isn't it?

Lack of respect for those whom you expect to read your posts.

I loved the debates. It reminded me why I grew to despise Republicans and moved my party affiliation to the Libertarian Party. In fact, I had considered changing back to Republican to vote in the primary but after seeing there are no viable options except bickering children and television oddities I felt secure in remaining where I am. Republicans will loose an election that they should be able to win, but all they have is clowns. The one guy that could save us all is completely ignored and mocked.

Yes, it would have been nice to see RP give a full airing of grievances and then bounce out.
Maybe punch Perry in the gut and deliver a crushing head kick to Santorum on the way out.
In 2008 RP received more than $34 million in campaign contributions.
He received more than 1 million votes.
Yet he was not allowed to speak at the Republican National Convention.
He is a thorn in the Republicans side.
Move on Ron.
Abandon this party of hypocrites and liars.
You are better than them and they don't deserve you.

" will he hang up on a world leader when he doesn't do what ron wants ? "

Why , Because he refuses to PLAY THE GAME ? These Debates are like some Stupid Ahass Reality T.V. Show Except Reality goes out the Window when any of these Debates are Staged . The American People want to Hear about the Real Issues , Unemployment, the Economy, Over Regulating of Businesses in America, Etc...

Most People HATE this Dog and Pony Show the Networks keep putting out there , and Ron Paul is just telling it like it is , Bogus !

My god, if this is the way you think, how do you get through the day without wearing a helmet?

If you can't tell the difference, maybe Blue's Clues is more your speed.

I'll presume you correlate that statement with the micro scale of measurements. But if you care to add context to that gibe then I'll read it with an open mind. Well, maybe with a set of calipers, too.

What is your opinion when world leaders walk off during Ahmenijinad's UN Speech?
What's your opinion when world leaders refused to shake Bush's hand during that summit?

Actual not shaking hands and actual walking off vs. symbolism?
If he deserved it? I'd think nothing of it. Sometimes the only statement you can make as a nation is one like that. It shouldn't be done out of a temper tantrum, but there are some things you shouldn't associate with because it will taint you. This is why some presidents, the military will not salute.

I don't like Paul. hell, I don't think I like any people who do like him.

But even so? That was really dumb, what you just said.

The situations are not comparable. he was there to engage in a debate, and the show - which is what it was, it wasn't a debate, it was a show - centered around two kids slapfighting. Not only was it completely embarassing and unproductive, but it also shortchanged everyone else on that stage. Now, I don't particularly care to hear idiots like Bachman or Santorum speaking, but damn, if you're going to put them on a stage, you owe them their fair time.

This is not at all comparable to politicking with foreign leaders... well, okay, it sort of is, if two presidents of other nations are so utterly man-crushing on each other as Perry and Romney were, it's only polite to leave the room and let them have their private time.
