I was telling my kids how we used to have educational/ informative cartoon commercials on Saturday mornings and they looked at me like I was crazy
lol. Just thought I would post them here for all of you so you could have flashbacks of childhood years. Enjoy.
There was educational one which taught grammar.
Conjuction Junction
Political lessons.
I'm just a bill
Lessons in eating properly.
Beans and rice lol
Hanker for a hunk of cheese.
And even lessons about not over eating.
I'm 38 years old and still remeber most of these musical commercials. Really takes me back to a time that seemed so carefree. Ahhh the good ole days.
I know there's quite a few more. Feel free to post your favorite or comment or just take a good ole trip down memory lane. BTW my favorite is just a
bill.

I'm just a Bill, and I'm sittin here on Capitol Hill.
And do you remember the inventions that were popping out every second?
Before the Patent Department and The Library of Congress were infiltrated?
Check out what the kids are watching on Saturday mornings these days.
Frankly, I think it all went downhill when "Bugs Bunny" was no longer the staple fare.
You have to admit, the Musicians and Score to that animation were second to none.
Haven't had the need to imbed youtube as yet but will give it a go.
I am over 60 so I remember these but I go further back. We were sometimes
frightened by some of the educational stuff that came out..mainly governmental.
We got all the stupid boring stuff about drugs, sex, etc. some of it was just plain stupid because we didn't get too many cartoons to keep our
attention. We got smacked if we dared not look
Yes I agree. Cartoons have been replaced with ipods and gameboys. Its a shame because I doubt kids will remember playing their gameboy like I remember
the cartoons of my childhood. I still watch Tom and Jerry on the cartoon network.
I love School House Rock and when I didn't see these video's playing on tv for my kids to watch I went out and bought the tape so they could at
least hear the songs and stories being told.
Nice to know that the videos are on youtube. I'll be playing them for my grandbaby.
I loved cartoons and yes some of the oldies can be found on cartoon network thank goodness.
