Sky sources in Libya have revealed that a son of Colonel Gaddafi tried to broker a peace deal with pro-democracy fighters to carve up the troubled country.

Warning: This video report contains graphic images of Colonel Gaddafi from the start, and images of his dead body and one of his sons.

Saadi Gaddafi, who fled to Niger several weeks ago, telephoned the most senior military leader in Tripoli ten days ago and revealed he had a message from the dictator.

"He recognised that the colonel would not lead Libya again," Sky News foreign affairs correspondent Lisa Holland said.

I see all the fireworks and celebrations.
But as a human being I am SICK TO MY STOMACH, that the world is "ok" with another human being meeting his maker in that way, recorded for the world to see.

I almost cried when I watched this video. We were told this and that about him, we dont know. We can presume, and judging by the celebrations, maybe he did deserve to die. But not like this. Not in this way.

Humanity is cruel. We have world leaders laughing at this.
I am sorry, but for me, this world is EVIL. It may be a safer world without him, and Sadam and Osama. But are the people in THIS video any better? You can see the shot that kills him, you see him sitting, seconds before death wiping blood from his face.

I cry for humanity.

Yeah I agree. I woke today to find these pictures on the front of the news paper for all to see like it was simply a gorey movie and not an actual human body. The pure hatred makes me sad. I know for sure he was not a good man by any stretch and has probably done worse to various political opponents and such, but to see any human being treated this way (I don't care if it's Dick Chaney of Rummy) is really sickening. Hopefully the smell of vengence isn't so putrid in our soon to be not so distant future. Hoepfully humanity learns that you cannot become the very people that you call evil. "And eye for an eye leaves both blind"

I am never happy to see politics lead to murder, and so I am also very disgusted and displeased with this pro-murder mentality that is so popular. When I see people say so-and-so needs to be killed for whatever reason, I can't help but notice the foam coming from their mouths.

It is a form of psychosis, where one needs to see death in order to sleep better at night, in order to 'feel better' about the world around them. It's totally irrational, illogical, and in effect, insanity.

The logical rational view is this :

More death = worse world to live in.
Less death = better world to live in.

So honestly watching a complete unruly mob shoot a man in the head, is utterly frightening and disturbing because it reveals the true state of reality on Earth today, complete random violence.

If anyone had any real principals or values they would not execute the man on the spot like this.
