You don't have to pray in a closet to talk to God. He says pray without ceasing. Too many think you have to go to God a certain way. Just talk to him.
Actually it says pray in private...
That was directed to those people who felt like they have to pray openly in the streets.

The 1000 yr. reign is only for those who chose to accept God during the tribulation period. This will be your test to see if you are pure in your desires. Satan won't be allowed to influence, just you and your own mind. 1000 yrs. Is good enough to test where your heart is.
Also, it may sound like science fiction, but it is what was there. A lot of the bible sounds like science fiction to many.

This is why Father has some from above here to explain these things.
Those people that died already gets a chance at death, everyone that didn't accept Christ during their life will get to see and then make a choice. If not, then they will face judgement. Even then, Hell is not what you think.

So your saying that your an angel then? I'm sure you can understand my skepticisim.
I'm just a mere mortal man with very little information to go on and a heart to lead me.
My experience of listening too closely to those that would pontificate to me is that i am left with their interpretation and understanding and have learnt nothing myself.
I'm no angel, nor do i ever expect to be. But what i do know is that the core of virtually every religion is the same so at least there is something to work with.
Would we all be just animals without religion?
I'm no angel, nor do i ever expect to be.
if you just thought you were an angel but had enough sense to know a conversation would end immediatly if you mentioned it then you also wouldn't mention it.
I'm pretty sure i did meet one once.

It was just one of those times when you meet someone in passing who seems completely inoccuous, like a street bum (as was the case) who says something that you really needed to hear at that exact moment and also gives you a strange vibe.
I was on a bus at the time and he handed me a worn old card that said something like "come to jesus" or "jesus saves" or something like that (you know the kind of message i mean)
He didn't preach or anything, just smiled, i think we talked about the weather or something, can't really remember. Didn't last long, just a few minutes.
Left me feeling hopeful and re-energized when i was close to giving up.

Well it's the kind of thing thats always happened to me, moments of clarity or an understanding suddenly formulating in my mind because i'm open to it, that sorta thing.
I don't really claim to have an answer for it but i would like to think it's the big man.
My one humble suggestion: be like that mysterious old man and just smile and deliver your message without too much religious overtone, most people respond better to it and god knows, the various religions have been driving people away from god for years now with those overtones.

In other words, things would be like they were when Noah was alive and preparing for the flood...So, can we expect that men will be living to nearly 1000 years old prior to the end? Would this be a sign?edit on 20-10-2011 by jeichelberg because: misspelling in the title of the thread

While I consider the words of the apostles in the epistles useful, I have a hard time considering them on the same level as scripture, personally...just my thoughts.
