Just came across this, thought it was rather well done. Its a really nicely shot short film that if you are logged into facebook it will access your basic info (like any facebook ap) and include it in the film.

www.takethislollipop.com...

Its basically just playing with the idea that displaying personal info on facebook could potentially be dangerous. Just thought it was quite well done and entertaining.

So if you haven't deleted your facebook account yet - log on and watch this, unless you are too afraid...
(this website does not store any of your info and is not spam or potentially harmful)

You can read a news article about it here if you are worried
www.stuff.co.nz...

Sorry if this has already been posted.

Wow that was crazy. Why does it say one of my friends is next and have a timer counting an hour down?

I dont think there is anything to the countdown and friends name - just part of the scare, and possibly an incentive to forward it on to a friend.

But if you or your friend end up dead, please don't blame me.

Moral of the story is don't give random programs access to your facebook profile, but to do that you have to give access to this stupid movie app. SCREW THAT.

No thanks. I'm closing my Bank of America account soon, I think Facebook is next.

Yep, close that facebook account down, you managed before it and will manage after it. It actually has the opposite effect anyway. It's supposed to bring people closer, but it makes people lazier and real world socialising gets substituted for virtual socialising that is very superficial. Also, there is the security issues, if you want privacy stay off facebook.

I started to do it. Asking for general permission is one thing, giving it access to POST as me - um no!

I got toally freaked out & shut it down.

I'll trust you to tell me how good it is though.

I tried it out. it is pretty cool to see. I'm sure if that guy met me in person he would be pretty darn disturbed and scared, lol

It was pretty freaky. I'm not too worried about it accessing personal info, as everything we have now does that. If you have a smartphone, it does it. This is just like other apps on Facebook...take off the tin foil hats lol.

It has pretty good theatrical value. I was creeped out. I mean, other than the google maps part having the wrong city completely.

But yeah...pretty cool.
