I was just looking at the actions of Mr. Curious George W. Bush and i asked my self He hasnt raised taxes, he has made the government way too big even bigger than it was with Clinton and he also hasnt cut spendings on a lot of project and I was just wondering is this the way a republican would act? i dont know if my logic is correct or if i'm confusing the two parties again tends to happen when both parties dont look so good but what is ur opinion is bush acting very liberal lately or is this how he has always been

Remeber that Reagan talked right wing conservative as well. However, when you look at his decisions as president, he was much more pragmatic. Bush appeals to his right wing support base as Kerry does to the left. The concern with Kerry is that he cannot take off his ultra left wing blinders and see the middle of the road. His track record of this in the senate speaks for itself.

I think Bush is whatever he wants to be. As long as it gets him whatever it is he wants.
You have'nt noticed how he has even changed the Constitution to suit his needs?

Bush doesnt care anymore. He knows he's being backed by his paid people who will see to it he's nominated. He also laughs at being called stupid because this nation as a whole is much more stupid than he could ever be. He (his goons) have big plans for us and we will see this day after he's "elected"(wink wink) again.
When he takes away ALL your freedoms, I would suggest you not go crying to your "liberal" neighbor. That liberal neighbor might want to deck you for being so dumb. If you think the world hates this government, you aint seen anything. Wait till "we" vote the same criminal in by vote.
We will never ever be the same again. All because of George W. Bush.
Thank you Mr. Bush. Thank you Republicans!!!!!

my god elaine are you living in a hole? it's kerry who's the opportunist, not bush. the president has his set ideas and sticks to it, kerry is the one who makes decisions based on which way the political wind blows. and would you kindly tell me what changes he's made to the constitution?

The man is a living breathing slur. He has a lot of compatriots in the Republican party. They use every low, unfair, dishonest tactic to win campaigns, practice completely corrupt politics, defile Mother nature's glorious realm and then [get this] they have the nerve to claim to OWN the moral high ground.

But in all honesty if you examine most religions they do about the same thing.
Religion = Ends justify the means = immoral.

However misguided the Democrats may from time to time be, most of them have souls and care about people. The very reason a person is 'Liberal' is because they have empathy for someone who is in a state they[the liberal] see as lesser. There are of course two problems with this view. 1)It is perceptual and often condescending. 2) their view of what, if any, 'solutions' are needed generally are limited by their lack of creative imagination.

Republicans ignore or have NO empathy for other people. People are only little iconic puppets that the republicans want to put [force] into little [and i must say boring] boxes. Again another condescending group telling you/me what is moral for us. [usually it is a front for the worst kind of corruption]

Please save us from meddlesome morality of Democrats and Republicans.

Slank, as usual, you're correct. I'll let you speak for me.Im a little under the weather so I'll refrain from any more EXPLANATIONS of why I dislike Bush for now. Thanks for being so wise.

see, this is where we dissagree slank, i don't think you can possibly generalize all the people of a political party like that, whether they be democrat or republican. this facade of an idea that republicans are immoral, soulless people is ridiculous. these people are no different from you or i. a lot of people think their affluence (wealth, power, that sort of thing) is what could make them so immoral, but democrats are cut from the same cloth, most politicians are. the only reason democrats are seen as champions of the minority and the picked on are because of what they did long ago, such as the civil rights act and suchforth. but they have done nothing different then the republicans have since. and you dgtempe, you make another post and STILL have no answer to my question?

George W. Bush ENJOYED putting firecrackers in frogs mouths and blowing them up. George W. Bush MOCKED a woman on death row pleading for them not to kill her.

The man is a sicko psycho. PERIOD.

Most of the people who support him are closet/or-not sicko psychos.

"Hey guys lets go kill some more Arabs! whoohoo!"
"Hey guys lets go torture some more Iraqis! whoohoo!"
Wave the flag and kill some more people. GWB,"Theyre not people theyre only Devil worshiping Muslims"

Lets go be saddistic wanton killers in the name of our God. [Choose religion: Christian, Jew, Muslim, Blind-patriot]

wow slank, we can't have an intelligent debate can we? where do you get the blowing up frogs thing? as well as the mocking the death row woman? i can believe the death row incident but only if you back it up with proof. i really thought you had a legitimate problem with bush, but it's looking less and less like that.

astroblade you do realize that many serial killers get started torturing animals first? It speaks to where this person comes from.

A woman totally at the mercy of the state pleads for mercy, even though she may have commited great crime(s). If George Bush was anything other than a sick little child he would have never have done this.

If you want to know why things happen look to the heart of the matter. Looking at GW Bush's heart I am sickened.

Isn't it too bad about Laura killing her first boyfriend in High School. Tsk Tsk.

slank, DONE WHAT? you still haven't backed up your statments. show me why you think bush tortured animals and prove/clarify this woman/crime issue. really, so far you're not making any sense, just babbling on. as for laura bush and her boyfriend...you have got to be kidding. you know damn well she didn't just kill her b/f like you make it sound, it was a car accident. furthermore, it occured when she was a teenager. that's a long time ago.

What's he been doing to the First Amendment then? No, he did'nt actually change the Constitution but he sure is twisting it to suit him.

Wow. That statement took a lot of research, many factual statements and an excellent mind to be prepared for being posted at ATS. Please refrain from the stereotypical anti-Bush "Bush is stupid hahaha" and "Bush is an idiot hahahaha" statements- it makes the rest of us look bad. And as for the statement about Bush being Liberal: All recent Presidents have been Liberals. That's because they're from the two major parties, which are easily controlled by private interests. Private interests want more government and more control over citizens. The elite are trying to screw us over. How is it that we never seem to have enough laws? Government just keeps making more and more regulations. We should have one law (and this is the foundation of the Ontario Libertarian Party's principles): Nobody may initiate the use of force or fraud against another. If you wanted to REALLY cut down on all of the laws you could have that as the only law in a Criminal Code, with a bunch of subsections that prescribe the maximum penalties for each degree of violating this one law. But I'm off topic- Bush is a liberal. Kerry is going to be a liberal. And after Kerry, another liberal. And until the members of parties or the members of constituencies realize that almost every big-party candidate is being controlled by a relatively small oligarchy, every President will be a liberal.

very well articulated Militiaman, and an excellent point. slank, i think you're an idiot. plain and simple. mainly because of your actions on this thread; acting like such a fool as you've been doing. all you had to do was back up your statments with evidence, but hell you couldn't even respond with intelligence. it took another member to clarify what you were talking about (and i thank that member for doing so). elaine, you still don't provide me with any examples or proof, whether it be of changing or just twisting the constitution. come on, i'm not trying to say you're wrong, i just want you to support your claims.
