I'm very glad to see that Ron Paul's Money Bomb has been going pretty good.
Considering that he raised $8 Million in the 2rd Quarter, it's amazing the see that he has already made 25% of that in a single day so far .
People are fully aware of Ron Paul, despite the media blackout. I think his "blackout" money bomb is a sure way to show the other candidates that Ron Paul is the real deal and there's no way that even the media can stop that.

I feel proud to have donated to his campaign. Let's keep his movement going!
www.ronpaul2012.com...

Ron Paul is well aware of his blackout and what needs to be done. Pew Research Center study showed that Ron has been the main focus of a mere 2 percent of news stories on the 2012 presidential race. Unlike Romney and his "Wall Street" Buddies that he gets money from, Ron gets his support from grassroots movements. I would even consider what we do here on ATS as one of his grassroots movements.

Ron's goal is to raise a donation total so large that it will be impossible for the media to ignore it.
“None of our hard work matters unless I can raise the resources to break through the media blackout and take my message of liberty straight to the voters,” - Ron Paul
He knows what needs to be done, and we do too. I'm not saying everyone needs to donate, but to do what you can to show your support. Like I was saying, due to blackout, a lot of his campaigning will be through grassroots, so let's use ATS and word of mouth to do our part because I know once president, he will do his part.

You can see that Ron Paul is definitely having a great day today.

Indeed he has been having a great day.

Also, it would have been nice if his campaign team thought before posting a picture of the ol Doc rolling around without a seatbelt on the highway.

Hahaha wow I didn't even notice that. Good catch!
Hopefully that doesn't catch any negative attention on his part

I think this is fantastic too. I donated. Then went back to purchase a few things, and as the home page came back up I got a screenshot of my name as well! I just feel, for the first time, hopeful. I mean really hopeful that there might be a true change/makeover/revolutio/whatever you want to call it, to bring our country back to greatness.

I want to live in a country where everyone has a chance, not a handout.

GO RON PAUL!

Loving this thread, just to make a minor correction to the OP, this moneybomb was 100% grassroots organized, which is the most beautiful part of this story.

He really is our one chance.
I don't feel as strongly about any of the other candidates as I do about ron paul and the way he explains what he is going to do with our country.
I like your statement about wanting everyone to have a chance, not a handout. Extremely true.

You mean the money bomb being 100% grassroots as in there was no media coverage in raising all of it and that it was all word of mouth, correct?

I think that in itself is so amazing

I was going to ask the same question. Wow. I'm really glad I got that screenshot now. Kind of corny, but I feel like it is something I will be proud to show my children.

Is there a spot to see how many individual donations were made? I thought I saw a reference on a Ron Paul support fb page, but it listed no source.

Ron Paul is truly the best hope for our country. I honestly hope that the people of America realize this for the 2012 elections...

celestialpink-
I don't think it's corny at all. Imagine he does get elected and things finally start changing around here. It'll be a proud moment to show your children that you helped make that happen and you helped pave the path towards a better future for them

Exactly what EyesWideOpen said. I agree it's not corny at all.
I'm not sure about individual numbers... But I'd be pretty interested in knowing if you did end up finding out.

Looks like the donation counter just stopped though. I think it ended with about 2.1 Million
Edit: Nevermind, still going. At $2.2 Mill now

can definitely attest to this, there was a HUGE push for pledges and promotion going on for I think two months+ prior to this event

Also the fact that the campaign had nothing to do with this until the late stages of this moneybomb campaign!

By the way guys, RP supporters occupied 30 Rockefeller center today to show them how serious we are about BLACK THIS OUT. They met that guy Joe from MSNBC show and here is what happened

I'm extremely happy for Ron Paul. One of the greatest things about his political philosophies is that he leaves the majority of all issues up to the states.

I don't wear my sexuality on my sleeve. Ron Paul let's it up to the states to let me live where I feel comfortable. The federal government should not have any interest in my bedroom, my beliefs or my rights. The federal government is there to protect me only from foreign enemies (of which I served in the armed forces).

Also, I absolutely agree with the majority view. Yes, It may hamper certain people. Yet the states with large minorities or special interests can make their own laws. I won't feel infringed upon. Simply, I move to where I feel most comfortable.

It's time that the states make the law of land. The federal government is out of hand. Did that rhyme?

Man crush on Ron Paul 2012!

I love the way you see things.

I'm getting really tired of people trying to form their arguments against him. So many people say Ron Paul doesn't want to give women control over her own body, he hates women, he hates gays, he hates fat people, he hates America...whatever...

I love how Ron Paul makes it very simple, we follow the Constitution and leave it up to the states to decide. If you have a problem, take it up with the Constitution, not the MESSENGER.

I would love to know if Ron was still up watching the counter like we are! Can't wait for feedback from the RP team and to see what media does or does not mention. I have never been this excited about politics!

I can just image him at home sitting on his computer watching the numbers rise.
At least that is what I would be doing if I were him right now lol. It's not everyday that someone gets to have their own personal money-counter that you can watch in real-time as people give money to you.

I most definitely agree that I cannot wait to see what the media does (or doesn't) do in response
