Here are some photos from our vacation to Prince Edward Island this summer.

The soil and rocks on the island are red.

We went deep sea fishing, lots of fun if you don't get sea sick. lol Some people did.
I caught 3 Cod Fish and a Mackerel.

It rained some of the days so we had to find other things to do. Black Light mini-putt.

I thought this was weird lol! We went to this amusement style haunted house. There were these old family pictures on the wall but they were holograms so when you passed the people turned into demons lol! This is what my camera flash did to this one. Hehehe....

Its been a few years since I've been over to the island, but I can see it has not changed much.

Some of my greatest memories are from the summers I spent camping in Cavendish, PEI.

Ya, spent many summers in PEI and more often Ingonish camping when I was a kid. Love both spots.

Not posted anything for a while, but rather warm, moist, tropical air atm is producing some nice skyscapes. So here are a 3 of sunset last night in Evesham, England, plus one from early this morning from my back garden with a nice display of irridescent cloud

My lenses have arrived! My lenses have arrived!

On my photoblog I did a series of a grasshopper travelling through the desert, starting from the day my lenses shipped to the day they arrived, and with the last photo in the series taken with my new macro.

Here are some of my first experiments with the 100mm macro lens.

And this was a test with the 50mm lens to try and see how narrow the DOF was on a ruler. Test didn't quite work out, but the photo was kind of cool.

And finally, I borrowed my dad's camera and took a photo of all my gear as it is now. It'll have more added in a bit once I get my FD -> EOS adapter ring and start using my grandfather's old lenses as well, but this is it's current state.

From left to right:

• Nikkor 20mm wide angle lens, f/3.5; uses Nikon to Canon adapter ring
• Canon 28 - 90mm, f/4.0
• Canon 100mm macro, f/2.8
• Nikkor 70 - 200mm telephoto lens
• Canon 70 - 200mm telephoto lens, f/4.0, L-series (The coveted red band! Alas, the lens is not actually mine. But I get primary usage.)

And the lens on the camera is my new Canon 50mm, f/1.8. And the camera is the Canon EOS 10D.

Remarkable shots LoganCale!! I'm blown away....Love your use of selective saturation on the grasshopper shots! Looks like you're enjoying the new toys! Great gear shot - You've got me wanting to do something along the same lines now :-P

I just blew a recent wedding paycheck and ordered the 70-200 f/4 L USM.....*drools*....Cannot wait to actually say I have L Glass in my bag!! I'm guessing you've only got good things to say about it LC?

I'm thinking f/4 may be a little small for weddings in low light though, so I'll probably stick to renting L glass when I need it and switch between the 70-200 and whatever rental I happen to have in the arsenal - I've been tempted to try a fisheye - I've seen a lot of interesting wedding shots come from that extreme barrell distrotion...

Hopefully I'll be able to post a few later - But this weekend I did get som shots on the Boston College vs. FSU game....

Please - No comments on the actual game itself - LOL

Still not finished updating the gallery with all of them yet:

Our hiking trip finished off at the base of this waterfall. Not much water pressure at the time, but still a nice shot.

I should have posted this one on Halloween. This old house is caving in and the yard is overgrown with trees. Must be pretty old. In the middle of nowhere too.
