US Attorney General Eric Holder: More gun control would have stopped Fast and Furious

Many, including myself, think that the real reason, pr at least a prime one, for the BATFE Fast and Furious/Gunwalker/Grenadewalker programs was to push for tighter gun control. Has AG Holder admitted as much?

In an astonishing admission, Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress that a lack of gun control was to blame for the government selling guns to Mexican drug cartels.

Holder sent a letter to Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Sen. Charles Grassley, ranking member of the Committee on the Judiciary, regarding recent revelations he was briefed on Operation Fast and Furious much earlier than he told Congress.

Luke O’Dell, Director of Operations for the National Association for Gun rights, said Holder’s statement reveals the real reason the DOJ approved of Fast and Furious.

“That is the ultimate purpose of the Fast and Furious program. Obama’s Justice Department is pursuing its own political agenda rather than protect the American people.” O’Dell said, “That agenda is to restrict access and ultimately ban civilian access to all types of firearms. Remember, the administration has said ‘never let a crisis go to waste.’”

What makes Holders remarks all the more despicable is the fact that he repeats the wholly discredited. claim that this was a "counter smuggling" operation.

This admin has been telling the lies for so long that they now believe them, what started as a way to surreptitiously undermine our 2nd Amendment rights, they now (actually again) rehash the old argument that if there was more gun control this operation would never have happened. Riiiight.

They could not intercept the arms they directed the weapons dealers sell In large quanitites to suspected illegal straw buyers because the gun control laws are not strict enough.

Holder is a shameless piece of trash. He would not know the truth if it kicked him in the nuts. The man is a criminal and he needs to be prosecuted as such. His life needs to be destroyed, just like the lives he has destroyed. I'm pretty sure lying to congress under this type of circumstance is a crime, yes?

Edit to add- I think he should be forced to explain his comments. It seriously makes no sense. I have tried to think objectively about this and I can not come up with one good reason why tighter gun control laws would have curtailed criminal activeity on the part of government officials. These people think they are above the law, so, to their way of thinking, more laws simply would not apply to them. But, it sure would apply to the masses who are getting sick of the corruption, now wouldn't it?

Holder and Obama and the rest of the elite will continue lying as long as people do nothing. Our types see the lies very clearly but the majority of Americans could care less. They will wake up when their BS three ring circus comes to an abrupt end.

Seriously it wasn't a lack of gun control it was the Government's control that sold guns to murders that have lead to the death's of over 30 thousand Mexican national's and the death of a border agent.

We all knew the slime would rise to the surface with gun walker and fast and furious we all knew it was a setup for tighter gun regulation's that keep the law abiding American at the mercy of the criminal's and the police.

Holder is an fascist idiot meat puppet. He admits the government runs/sells the guns to the Mexican drug cartels, which has nothing to do with a lack of gun control in the US but then he says that it's because of a lack of gun control pertaining to the citizens, even though the drugs were sold to foreign nationals by the government.

Who put this idiot into this position? Oh yeah, the Obamanation!

You might remember that Holder is the clown that wanted legislation to allow a tree to sue a person. I am all for respecting nature and allowing people who have stewardship over vast areas to sue others who damage those areas but I have no respect for this @ssclown Holder. His words mean less than nothing.
