CONTROVERSIAL gas drilling DID cause Fylde coast earthquakes.
And now energy chiefs have sent a stark warning to shale gas company Cuadrilla Resources – stop the tremors or we will shut you down.
It comes as the company this week held urgent talks with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to consider a report into the risk of earthquakes associated with fracking – the process used to extract shale gas from deep beneath the Fylde coast.
The meetings followed the British Geological Survey’s (BGS) conclusion two recent earth tremors felt nearby were most likely to have been caused by fracking.

What does Hawaii have to do with a sound hundreds of miles away? Personally I don't buy the earthquake connection, and those data posts are spam in my eyes.
Kudos to you OP for recording it, nice video. Colorado Springs, again right on the edge of the auroal oval (personal theory). Majority of the strange sound videos locations are on the edge of the AO.
To me it does sound like a jet doing engine tests on the ground, definitely doesn't sound like one in flight. But very intriguing none the less. Would be great if anyone closer to it in the direction you say it was came forward.
Not sure what else to say. It's just interesting, whatever it is! Getting kind of annoying that the first reply to all these threads is a "this has been heard all over the world in various places" - think we know that by now!! When UFO vids are posted you don't put "Did you know UFO's have been reported all over the world!"edit on 19-10-2011 by markymint because: (no reason given)

I've heard something similar, only less airy and more deep and creepy. Were your dogs barking at the noise or something else? I have two dogs and they barked at the noise. I was inside my house when I heard it.
These noises are being heard all over the world. Can't be consistent coincidences ...can itedit on 10/19/11 by ThePublicEnemyNo1 because: (no reason given)

The Air Force Base is very close to where you're at.
It's often hard to see the F-16s flying around, and they can be heard even when out of sight.
Probably some AF training exercises
