Interesting how the SOHO display overloads with white-out shortly after 'impact'(?)

Resulting CME momentarily blowing optics, or an effect the video poster tossed in for dramatic effect?

A sungrazing comet is a comet that passes extremely close to the Sun ..

Think this one hit Sun so I leave out that grazing from grassland..

thanks DANKEY you always post the best breaking ATS space news!

hahah Americans hardly use the word GRAZE anymore in the 'rubbing lightly against' connotation.

i remember my grade school teacher telling me not to use it in my writing except for foraging, because it had sexual connations!

Love the music. It gives me the impression that the comet is on an extremely important mission to save the galaxy. Good luck, little guy.

i became frikin lazy nowadays having you take care for these events!!

i'm not expecting a CME release from this one..still though i think we shall have a significant tail maybe..await to see what size the comet is once visible on LASCO C2

a size comparison between the latest which produce the CME and this one
