Australian Army to remain in Afghanistan well after 2014

Defence Minister Stephen Smith has used his latest report to parliament on Afghanistan to reinforce the government's view that Australian troops will be heavily involved there well after the end of 2014.

"Australia has made clear it expects to maintain a presence in Afghanistan after our current training and mentoring mission has concluded, potentially through institutional training, a special forces presence, military advisers, capacity building and development assistance."

Pretty much, what they are saying is that we won't bring anyone home, considering that the main role of the ADF in Afghanistan is to do what he outlined (training, development,SF etc).


Has the USA stated anything about their troops staying over there past the 2014 mark?

i had dreamed that we would pull out but clearly america still need us there.

they will be there for longer than that. 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq all geographic positions based on strategies to annihilate Iran for the Jews of Israel. If your smart enough you will see that this is all a war plan and the Aussies are just as controlled by NWO, Freemasons and bilderberg just as the Yanks, brits and French.
